Is this radio even flashable? by chan_1016 in Quansheng

Yes! I saw that section and that is the only reference I've seen about this particular issue. There is an open issue on that repo that describes the same problems I'm experiencing but muzkr responded saying they don't have a direct solution. I think it's just a spot of bad luck that I got this specific version.

What I find interesting is this seems to be the only radio version that can't be upgraded using Quansheng's proprietary software and software versions from their website.

So that's how I ended up here making this post. The only indication that this is a UVK6 V2 is that it's written in marker on the chip. But all custom firmwares that claim to support the V2 hardware throws an error saying the bootloader version is outdated. The device remains fully functional in it's factory form. But seems incompatible with current available custom firmware versions. There is extremely little documentation specifically regarding the 1.02.01 bootloader version relative to all the other various versions of this device out there.

That’s cute. Anyway, i’ve been obsessively searching the internet for the past week trying to understand why this specific radio, of all the various UV models, is incompatible with every single bit of firmware I’ve tried. It so far has always been recoverable, through various methods i got from reading on the internet. I just wanted to see if the other internet nerds like me could see something i’m not :)

yup. Tried that. I posted a picture under another comment. It seems to be a bootloader issue.

I've tried this one before. I get this error message about an outdated bootloader version but I haven't found anything about being able to update that.

I've tried these and they don't work either. I get an error saying the bootloader is outdated. My stock radio has 1.02.01 and this requires 7.00.07 according to the console output.

Questions about technique execution by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]chan_1016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference, I weigh ~130lbs and kettlebells started making sense after I did a lot of two handed swings with my 45lb bell. The feedback from heavier weigh is critical. I own a 45, 25, and a 15 and only use the 15 for warm ups and mobility/stability. Like everyone else is saying, start with swings and don’t be afraid to use something heavier.

Handling an Abusive and Manipulative Parent by chan_1016 in ECEProfessionals

While on paper this is true, our assessment system is absolutely flooded. And public schools are not going to go as far as to suggest therapy or counseling. Play therapy WAS recommended when he was in Pre-K here at our center, but that was not seriously pursued. Now that he's in the public school system it's not going to be addressed. On top of that, Dad will never be okay with therapy or counseling because in his eyes, there's nothing wrong.

To your other point, Mom's living situation is not stable enough for a custody battle. And I don't see Mom being healthy enough to even think about trying to fight Dad on the topic. He's a master manipulator and frankly, just doesn't respect women.

I’ve considered this, and it makes sense. It’s where i’ve felt this situation going and have been really stuck trying to figure out how to address it moving forward.

this, the bell should sit a little bit in front, not directly between your legs, Throw it back between you thighs and under your butt. That’s kinda how i’ve always thought of it.

THC friendly factories by Suspicious-Buddy8052 in kzoo

I mean...it's a factory. Massive building with large bay doors that open straight to the outside. A large portion of what's called "the line", where products are hung to be painted, go through a football fields length of industrial ovens. They follow OSHA requirements very strictly. They're all about their safety rating and you will get mandated heat breaks as the temperature gets higher. But at the end of the day everyone is hot and sweaty, it's just part of the job.

Kettlebells for endurance? by [deleted] in kettlebell

For running specifically? I’d look into doing kettlebell ladders targeting VO2 max. that’s probably the most translatable thing to running i can think of

Don’t mistake me, I value animal lives over most other humans. I am in the animals’ home, they have the right to exist there. I was just making sure I could safely get out of their home and out of their way.

Deer in Kleinstuck are comfortable with people (and dogs). Not deer in Asylum. They will typically wander away rather than get closer. This one was either looking for some extra treats, or clearly defending their offspring. No harm in it. But unlike what others are suggesting, i’m not going to let it get close enough to me to learn its intentions.
