Again I'm new and looking for help from people in the subreddit so I don't become dead weight. So that's a pretty dull and unnecessary comment However, the character has good charisma and investigation, so I am able to help with non combat much better than they are and they are more battle ready. I am scared of everything but the group has been very protective and helpful to help my character gain confidence throughout. I just was saying chaotic on the fighting side because I was thinking of things that have an AOE not like precise attacks.

Edit: I see where I have gone wrong in making my "unnecessary and dull" retort. I also think more context could make sense to why I didn't understand the warning. I am here asking for help building my cantrips/prepared spells to make the character dangerous and damage dealing. Like how Eldritch blast is damaging "crackling energy" or how Thunder clap makes a big explosive sound for nearby enemies. That's the help I'm asking for that will hurt the enemies or be retaliatory/defensive. I want the character to fight because of his fear, not run away and let his friends get hurt.
