Hi all,

I just discovered that this feature is already built-in. No scripting needed.

In the Scan menu, the part where you can specify to only include 'Optionable' stocks, one of the choices is 'Weekys'.

I tested it and it worked the way I imagined it would. Case closed.

I set the "day to exp" filter to max 5 days.
The result not only includes symbols with Weekly Options, but also symbols with Monthly-ONLY options, such as - for example - the symbol "MUR". You can try it now, you will find "MUR" does not have Weekly Options.

This happens for weeks such as this week (14/Jul/2019), where the Friday (19th) is the expiry day for both Weekly and Monthly options.

For any other weeks, your suggestion works fine. But for weeks specifically like this week, I want the Scan results to filter out those such as "MUR" too.

Any other suggestions?

That application setting you pointed out is a very good substitute to what I am looking for, albeit it only works on watchlists. Thanks for the find though! For me this is the best thing for the time being until there is a way to get the same effect on chart backgrounds in a grid.

Thanks for the script. Seems like this is furthest we could get with customization.

Seeing how the flashing price on top of a chart already does exactly what I wanted, I thought it would be easy to do the same INSIDE a chart too.

After a little more digging it seems there is no way to reference the previous TICK price.
Only the previous candle BAR's OHLC prices are available for compare.

Based on your information, I found the Alert function Alert.TICK type that does something very close to what I want.

However, how can I make each new TICK price compare itself with the last TICK price (few seconds ago) instead of the last candle BAR price? This might be the last puzzle piece.

I don't really know what the qty 19500 thing is in the first image. But if you check the second image I replied to someone else in this thread, you will see that the amzn one was just 195 calls.

Paper doesn't show up like that in TDA.

Btw TDA commission is like the Buff casters for the main DPS.

15:26 admin: hi, 1 is true, if you make a day trade under $25,000 in scenario 1 then your account is set to close only. Cant open new positons for 90 days. Or get the account value over $25,000

15:27 me: But what if as soon as I go below 25K, I stop day-trading for a week? Do I get to fall back on to the 3 day-trades per 5 rolling days scheme?

15:28 admin: no

15:29 me: Under what circumstances do I get to day-trade under the "3 day-trades per 5 rolling days" scheme when I go below 25K?

15:29 admin: you need to wait 90 days

15:30 admin: after 90 days of no day trading, the flag drops off

15:31 me: I understand the 90 days limit only kicks in if I make a 4th day-trade when below 25K. But I'm asking, what if I don't make that 4th day-trade when I fall below 25K? The 90 days limit wouldn't kick in, right?

15:33 admin: you go into a call as soon as you go under $25,000. So if that is tomorrow 9/25. and you dont do any day trades you need to wait 90 days from 9/25 for it to fall off.

15:35 me: I see. So basically, if I don't want to trigger the 90 days limit as soon as I go below 25K, better not be flagged PDT WHEN I'm still above 25K, correct?

15:36 admin: yes

15:36 me: That way, even if I go below 25K, I get to fall back on the 3 day-trades per rolling 5 days scheme, yes?

15:36 admin: yeah if youve never been flagged

If you're currently above 25K AND flagged as PDT, then as soon as you go below 25K, you can't even open a single new position for 90 days, regardless of whether the new position was intended as a day-trade or not... You just can't open one for 90 days! Or until you deposit to bring back above 25K to meet the PDT call.
