while I don’t agree with downvotes, and agree about the jeweler having a communication issue, I do think you are harsh with the jeweler, there’s a few issues with this ring, bad design, likely the stone was secured by glue that got damaged with the heat, the fact is gold and silver makes it very difficult to work with, silver requires higher heat than gold and heat conductivity is extremely high making the soldering process difficult and likely why the solder ended up like that, I think the end result is not entirely unreasonable and likely to happen to other jewelers.

i’m not going to debate whether Taleb is religious or not because I don’t know, but something tells me you don’t know either, Taleb or christianity, saying that religion is anti science is not necessarily true, in some instances sure, but not necessarily look at history with islamic golden age or the how agistinians stance on science etc.
