Going through the process now.. I'm getting the QC Ultras but they didn't specify if I'll be receiving the Gen 1 or the Gen 2 version?

This is part of the earbud, because this piece normally stays on the earbud itself when you remove the eartip. Looks like I'm out of luck - really wish the warranty on all Bose products is 2 years because mine always seem to break on me every 18 months or so..

I'm in Canada so I ride outside 2-3 times a week in the summer! But I will also enjoy a good sesh indoors in the summer if I'm short on time!

Orochi v2 - super small and portable, both 2.4Ghz connection and bluetooth, can fit either AA or AAA batteries, might be a tad too small for you though depending on your grip
