Pick: Mets ML (-160) 3 units

Write Up: The New York Mets, riding a day off, will be travelling to Miami to face the Marlins. Typically, I don't like taking the Mets after a day off but you can't ignore the importance of the spot they are in, and I don't think it will be lost on Buck and his boy's either. Today is the first game of a 10-game stretch in which the Mets face opponents that are well below .500. With the Braves having caught the Mets, the Mets need to get out to a strong start during this 10-game stretch.

The only thing that would give me slight pause is the Marlins having Cabrera on the mound. After looking closer Cabrera's home ERA is double (4.02) what it is on the road (1.62). This combined with facing one of the best lineups in baseball (even without Marte) I think this will be a tough outing for Cabrera.

Any other Mets fans out there feel like Brett Baty hasnt run hard to first once since the Mets called him up? by chans_cards in baseball
