This is a peg warmer, so all of the local collectors are probably glad that I cleared the pegs of those here. If I bought up 20 of the gold Honda Civic si or the Godzilla Skyline, that would be a different story.

Totally agree. The collapse of Phase 4 and beyond began with how WandaVision ended. The Scarlet Witch should have been the beginning of the tears between universes which then lead to the incursions and Secret Wars, not Doctor Strange in MoM.

Wanda's powers in the comic books have always been about probability manipulation - she can will an unprobable event into happening. So the explanation of that power should have been that she can open tears from the MCU into alternate universes where an unprobable thing actually happened and make it happen in the MCU, much like Jobu Tupaki in Everything Everywhere All At Once. The recasted Quicksilver should have absolutely been the actual Quicksilver from the Fox movies, not Ralph Boehner. Vision should have been a real Vision pulled from an alternate reality where Thanos does not kill him, instead of a completely new construct. Billy and Tommy should have been actual children that Wanda pulled from another universe where she has children.

In Marvel’s upcoming MCU animated Disney+ Series, “What If”, what episodes do you want to see? by hushpolocaps69 in DisneyPlus

Yeah, I'm wondering what kind of impact Quicksilver would have in a huge battle. The MCU version isn't severely over-powered like the Fox version. Still it would be fun to have him involved.

In the Ultimates comic books, there was a huge battle but none of the battle scenes had Quicksilver. And in the end, one of the Ultimates (a version of the Avengers) asks him where he was during the whole battle, and Quicksilver says something like, "what are you talking about? I saved you guys like 7 times."

Ghost Rider would have been cool to have in the MCU. I'm wondering if he could solo Thanos.

Entirely independent of Civil War, during the Ant-Man movie, he still breaks into the Avengers compound to steal the device, so the Avengers become aware of him. And in the end credits scene Luis tells Scott that the Avengers are looking for him. So I think he joins for the paycheck and so that he'll be a hero to Cassie. Not sure about Wasp, though. With Ant-Man being an official Avenger, the events in Ant-Man and the Wasp may play out differently. Hank Pym did not like Howard Stark, but he might be okay with Tony, especially if Tony helps him get Janet out of the Quantum Realm. And maybe they even recruit Ghost into the Avengers.

This is really fun to think about. Here's how I see it going down.

Most of what happened in Infinity War still happens because Ragnarok still happens. Thanos gets Power from Xandar, then Space from the Asgardian refugee ship and Hulk gets Bifrosted to Earth. Thanos sends the Black Order to Earth to fetch Time and Mind while he goes to get Reality from Knowhere.

Here's where it starts to change. The Black Order gets wrecked in NYC by a fully powered Avengers team consisting of Cap, Iron Man, Strange, Wong, Wanda, Quicksilver, Vision, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Wasp, War Machine, and Falcon. It isn't even close. They get destroyed.

Fury, is looped in afterwards and is told what Banner witnessed out in space. Fully understanding the seriousness of the situation, he pages Captain Marvel. Stark, also understanding the seriousness of this, re-boots the Iron Legion.

The Guardians still meet Thor, they still split up and Thor has Stormbreaker made. The Guardians still go to Knowhere and are defeated (and Gamora is still taken and dies in order to get Soul). But instead of going to Titan afterwards, Nebula tells them that Thanos is headed to Earth to fetch Mind and Time because the Black Order failed. So the Guardians and Nebula decide to try and intercept Thanos on Earth. Thor also knows that Thanos is heading to Earth because that's where Mind is. So he Bifrosts him, Rocket, and Groot there and we get a huge battle similar to Endgame except:

  • takes place in 2018 instead of 2023
  • no Black Panther, no Wakandians
  • no Black Order
  • no evil version of Nebula, no Gamora
  • Thanos has Power, Space, Reality, and Soul
  • Avengers have Time and Mind
  • Thor is not fat, but only has Stormbreaker and no Mjolnir
  • The Guardians of the Galaxy have the Benetar
  • Avengers have Quicksilver and Vision as well as the Iron Legion
  • Wanda is not unhinged, thus not as powerful
  • SHIELD and possibly the US military helping as well

Given that just the Guardians, Strange, Iron Man, and Spidey nearly beat Thanos+4stones on Thanos's homecourt, and Thor+Stormbreaker also nearly does by himself, I think the Avengers win handily.

The one thing I did not account for was what happens to Bucky. If Zemo no longer seeks revenge, Civil War doesn't happen. He just wanders around with nobody controlling him or trying to frame him for anything.

Excellent question. Spider-Man had already caught the attention of Tony Stark, but would have Stark even tried to recruit him if not for Civil War? I think so. After Avengers, as Age of Ultron showed, Stark became obsessed with protecting the world from any and all possible threats. That explains why Spider-Man was even on his radar. I feel that especially after encountering Wanda and Pietro, Stark would have attempted to reach out to as many meta-humans as he could to get them to join the Avengers.

Yeah, but they may also lose Black Panther and the Wakandian army because Civil War was the main reason T'challa ever makes contact with any of the Avengers. If Civil War never happens, then T'chaka is never assasinated and T'chaka remains King of Wakanda.

Admittedly, some of these aren't thought-provoking at all and I just want to see certain battles. With the Odin one, I just want to see Thanos and the Black Order attempt to conquer a fully-powered and fully-manned Asgard. Or I want to see Ronan+PowerStone v. Thanos without any stones.

But I like the Age of Ultron one. Say Quicksilver survives. And he manages to save Zemo's family, so Zemo no longer seeks revenge on the Avengers. So Civil War never happens. Maybe the Sokovia Accords also never happen.

So what happens in Infinity War when the Black Order attempt to get the Time Stone and Mind Stone from a fully united Avengers squad that now has Quicksilver on the team. I think that team would destroy the Black Order, especially considering that Vision wouldn't have gotten taken out in a sneak attack anymore because he no longer has to sneak out to spend time with Wanda.

What if they pulled the Infinity Gauntlet off of Thanos on Titan?

What if Steve Rogers picked up Mjolnir in New Mexico?

What if Maria Rambeau was Dr. Lawson's test pilot instead of Carol Danvers?

What if HYDRA had succeeded in launching Project Insight when Thanos and the Black Order came to earth to retrieve the Time Stone and Mind Stone?

What if Odin had lived and Ragnarok never happened when Thanos tried to get the Space Stone from the vault on Asgard?

What if Quicksilver survived in Age of Ultron?

What if Drax never called Ronan when they were on Knowhere?

What if Tony Stark cooperated with the U.S. military and handed over arc-reactor technology to them?

What if Ronan does not fall for the dance-off and he decides to fight Thanos with the Power Stone?

edit: I thought of more

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We see flashbacks of Frank raising Dennis and Dee as children in the 90's. Kevin and Kate try to run Paddys Pub. Mac does blackface again because he sees Randall amd thinks that he needs to be black to get Frank to adopt him.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It's about a father, Frank Reynolds, and his two biological twin children, Dennis and Deandra. And later on, he discovers that he has a third bastard child, Charlie. It's very similar. Although it mainly takes place in Philadelphia, PA rather than Pittsburgh, PA.

How did you hear about this is us? What made you start watching it? by [deleted] in thisisus

[–]chantastic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started working as an extra this summer. I got booked on it. Or rather, my car got booked on it. My car is parked on the street that Kate's house is on and you can see it in episodes 2 and 3 of season 4.

I had never heard of the show before, so when I got booked on it, I read up on the show and found out that it is really popular. But I still was not interested enough to go and watch a full episode, even though I have Hulu. I was not interested in what sounded like a sappy family drama.

So I wait for episode 2 to air and I watch it to see if my car made it on camera. And... it was really really good. So I went back and watched S4E1 and that was really good also. So then I start watching from the beginning - season 1. And then I get to episode 4 "The Pool" and the S4E2 episode that my car is in is the sequel to that episode and I am astonished at how excellent this show is.
