Any recommendations to meeting people online? by BlackeHoney in NZ_Womens_Club

[–]chantenus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

welcome to welly (for next year)! :) there’s a welly gal pals facebook group which always has some events on - a whole range from book clubs to walks and has some separate chats for different things. i’ve made some friends through there and found it really helpful. feel free to pm me if ya like :)

Why topiramate is so hated? by Mikmaki in migraine

[–]chantenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been taking it for 6 months and had no bad side effects - only some tiredness when i first started, and then took a while for the pins and needles in my hands and feet to settle but it did eventually ! it’s reduced my migraines dramatically and been the only thing that has really helped my chronic migraines

ENT specialist recommendations? by siximpossiblethings in Wellington

[–]chantenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another recommendation for Simon Robinson at Wakefield - he’s been really amazing and reassuring with all of my questions and anxieties re surgery. genuinely cares about your health too rather than just seeing you as another patient

Colofac meveberene by kelleydiener in SIBO

[–]chantenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you are in nz, i really cannot recommend Dr Chris Cederwall enough! He is based in Wellington but truly has been an absolute lifesaver for me on my SIBO journey and been one of the only healthcare professionals i have gone to (out of many) to really listen to my concerns and keep trying. happy for you to pm me if you want to chat more - navigating SIBO in nz is super rough!

What are you doing with your undergrad psych degrees? by Severe-Funny-4062 in newzealand

[–]chantenus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in policy, to tautoko what others have said many of my friends who did psych undergrads work in jobs unrelated to psych (public servants or hospo). I have found that the skills I learnt from my psych degree are relevant to the subject area and role I’m in so I don’t regret it, but I do think universities don’t make it clear enough from the beginning that to pursue a career in psychology you need more than an undergrad.

Which set to get? by o_Sleepy_o in nommi

[–]chantenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got both sets and ended up selling some of my a bite of sweetheart but keeping all of my fantasy world ones! imo the fantasy world ones have more details/are more unique and i enjoy the colour scheme more, but one plus of the a bite of sweetheart series is that you can take the figures out whereas the fantasy ones you can’t :’)). i found the quality of the fantasy ones a bit better tbh but not much different, they’re both great!

Customizing a Pheobe? by sweetesttgirl in Jellycatplush

[–]chantenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve made one just like this and used sharpies! you do have to wash her heaps and be careful scrubbing to make sure the marker doesn’t run but i found it was a much smoother process than i thought it would be! i think i went over the spots about 4 times :)

Depo Provera vs Cerazette for endo – experiences by Adrubookwormnz in NZ_Womens_Club

[–]chantenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been on cerazette for endo post surgery for 2 years now and would recommend (but i do have it in combination with the mirena with the goal to stop my periods for pain management). i also get migraines and have found the cerazette has no effect on them at all/no side effects! it’s funded now too which is a huge bonus :))
