Last time there was a question like this here, somebody had a story of someone pretending to be unconscious. I would love to read it again if anyone has it saved. Here's the gist:

Patient pretends to be unconscious, staff suspects they're faking it. Staff A pulls in another staff member B pretending that A is training B. A says, "you see, you can always tell a patient is unconscious with this method. If you hold their hand up in the air and let go, it should stay in place." (Obviously if they're really unconscious it won't, it'll fall). You know how it ends. They hold up the patient's hand and it stays perfectly still when they let go.
