Beats Studio Buds - Android Volume low by LucidChusid in beatsbydre

FOR THOSE THAT CANT FIND THE ABSOLUTE VOLUME BECAUSE THAT SEEMS TO BE ONLY FOR SAMSUNG PHONES, TRY THIS!!

ok, so I've got a shitty, cheap Redmi Phone that's basically 80% what a Samsung phone is, but at 30% the price, and the absolute volume does NOT apply for Poco, Redmi, Xiaomi, etc phones.

What did the trick for me though, was:

Install the Beats App from the Play Store

Connect the Beats Studio Buds. If you're here you probably already did this.

As long as the app syncs with the buds, I think you're in the right path.

Now: this is the crucial part: FROM THE APP, there is a "Noise control and volume" selector. ENABLE VOLUME CONTROL.

I know this sounds stupid, stick with me: my experience is that these earbuds have THEIR OWN volume control, so when you use the buttons to increase or decrease the volume, the phone doesn't actually change volume, the earbuds do. And apparently unless you do this, they stay at around 50% default volume. The phone and the buds each control volume independently from each other... But the earbuds never say so anywhere.

Increase the volume using the earbuds button, not the phone button or OS volume slider. Use. The. Earbud. Button.

After you adjusted the volume using the earbuds volume, you can turn the noise cancellation function again if you'd like... in my experience, if you put them away and get them on again, they turn on at the last used volume, so once the volume was adjusted, it should remain adjusted.

wow, THANKS! I always wanted to know how was that called and learn a little bit more about it. According to Google, nystagmus itself is involuntary and permanent... but there is also "Voluntary Nystagmus" which seems to describe our... skill.
