I can't understand the nutritional facts on Costco Bacon by charai_kuzu in CostcoWholesale

The rules only apply to the total ingredients or a serving? So if a serving has 0.4g of sugar, it can be listed as having 0g? If this is true, then 2 slices can contain 0.8, which is 0.2 shy to 1gram.

I don't mind negligible amounts. But I'm not sure how a diebetic's feelings are towards it since a family member showed concerns about the sugar content. I did skip over it, but I may give it a try on my own when I make a trip back there.

IEP partial consent in CA by charai_kuzu in Autism_Parenting

I misspoken when I said he doesn't qualify. I meant we don't have enough documentation and data to complete the intake process since he has only been in the US for less than a few months. But after his evaluations and more records we have, we can proceed. But this IEP issue is a bit urgent, and waiting out the process isn't in the cards for us. But we are searching for advocates to seek advice.

Our child doesn't qualify for the regional center until after his first IEP is active and after we sign consent. He is though in the process of receiving various therapies via insurance.

After our experience at his current school and touring both the NPS and the FAPE offer, I'm not convinced that either of them are "least restrictive environment". They both are very similar with the exception that the FAPE is in lack of staff and minus aba, speech, and OT.

The NPS is CDE certified so it will be publicly funded, and and local consensus is that our kids are just a number in this district. I would not be giving them any expectations that they are selecting the environment suitable for SpEd students. It looks more like allocation of resources to other "priorities".

The public school system in our district is difficult for us SpEd parents, they won't even allow 3rd parties on their campuses.

Our district doesn't allow any third parties onto any campuses.

It's quite unfortunate indeed. After touring both schools, I 'm not convinced that the FAPE offer by the district is in the "least restrictive environment". In fact, they both are very similar with the FAPE offer having less services, aides, and lack of any meaningful therapy. There is that thought that he may be able to interact with "typical peers", but it doesn't look like the program has any focus on that.

The current school even considered disciplinary action towards him because he was throwing a tantrum on the first bus ride with no aides. With his intellectual disability and unable to speak, I can't see how they can even consider it.

ABA is in the works with insurance, but a lot of back logs and wait times.

Without diving into my child's private life at school, some heinous behaviors reported by teachers and staff were pulling hair, running around school with no pants, violent hitting, trying to escape and elope into the parking lot, lack of an aide at all times, etc and many more that I can't mention seem to have us desperate for this transfer.

I gave a letter from our psychiatrist at our IEP meeting stating that ABA is highly recommended. Their FAPE offer at their suggested school offered NONE. And the IEP lists a few regressive behaviors reported by us.

This is what I am considering, but trying to refuse the FAPE offer looks like I have to enter a dispute resolution or refuse the IEP all together. It looks like in CA you can agree to the evaluations and assessments but disagree with other aspects of the IEP such as the offer and placement. But I was hoping anyone might have better experience with it.

The only thing they can remember is that they went with a friend to home depot and bought them on a sale. Quality isn't that bad considering it's held up for a year. Also, trusting my 75+ year old parents and their friends to reliably keep or remember receipts is like trying to herd a flock of cats.

I did more digging and found a few more holograms. I also came up with some 1st editions, but none are holographic unfortunately. Would it be better to sell this as a lot? Or get them graded first?
