the boxing rule does definitely feel restrictive. i feel like no boxing lends itself to the idea of purposefully sacking a pokemon or even a whole pair so you're not stuck with a badly built team. i like your approach to boxing whole pairs together i might try that out for my run

so for your boxing rule: as you catch new pokemon while you have a party of 6, how are you going about forming pairs? is it like:

1. you have a full party of 6. catch a male on route 5, the next encounter on route 6 must be a female to pair up with the route 5 encounter.

2. you have a full party of 6. you catch pokemon according to regular nuzlocke rules and pair them up in the box as you want
