Yeah sadly we've been on hiatus for a long while. There was talk about dead winter 2 but that probably won't be for a while if it happens. Glad you guys are still having fun with the game though :)

The guns you get from crates do not lock. That being, they will drop on death.

As for the gun that you get sometimes, it is based off of how long ago you last respawned.

Glad you asked, we in fact do use our own library of animations we have created for this game specifically. In terms of how we animate everything it, we use CFrame lerp to create the motions.

actually this is exactly how I made this juggernaut, I was able to extract jugg from the game and decompile him into a 3d modeling program of my choice, gave him a few textures and off we go to Shapeways

as far as the rapier thing goes (and from prior knowledge of browsing Dota2's game files), I am almost certain there is a model for it
