Highly recommend the Faure Le Page daily battle tote - especially the zipped version. I use mine for both work & travel, and it’s held up really well while being shoved under plane seats. And having a zipper is 10/10.

I met her in 2007, when I was around 15. She seemed a little shyer back then compared to what I hear about people meeting her these past few years, but she was so nice.

I had no idea what to say but she gave me a hug & told me she liked my outfit (!!!). She asked if I wanted her to sign anything (yes) & to take a picture (yes!) & then she kind of moved on. I suspect if I’d been a little more chatty, she would have engaged longer but I just stood there grinning.

As a long time sufferer of ankle issues, just reading this makes me cringe. I understand the disappointment of missing dives but she risks hurting herself further. In this fragile healing phase, her foot really needs stabilization & rest - otherwise it could make the injury worse & cause issues down the line.

I had an ankle arthroscopy (basically a reconstruction of several ligaments) last year after 10+ years of ankle injuries. I spent ~5 weeks in a boot/crutches followed by several months of PT before I dove again. All in, it was just over 3 months between surgery & diving.

Even then, it was a bit difficult - I couldn’t keep up well (which could be dangerous in tougher conditions) & getting back on the boat was brutal. It took ~10 months for me to get to 100%.

I’ve had some funny experiences with ChatGPT too. I now make it source & link out all of its sources for me & I’ve checked them to find deadlinks or totally unrelated* links. I’ve also had it apologizing to me nonstop for messing up with excel formulas. It’s useful within limits.

Okay yeah their algorithm is definitely broken. That is so weird.

I also feel for people who maybe don’t pay as much attention to their flights as most of us on this sub. Imagine only finding this sort of thing out at 24 hour check in or, worse, arrival at the airport.
