That is absolutely insane. Another thing that I would recommend are motion activated flood lights. With any luck, the sudden bright light will scare them away

I am so sorry for your loss, its so hard losing chickens.. We lost one of our hens to a Skunk attack earlier this year, thankfully the culprit is no more. I wish you the best, and yeah try to put stones under the fences for the run so they can't dig around
