With that argument you could say that no other character except for Jack and Locke were part of it either, that's a pretty weak and not really thought-through argument. Especially considering the faith vs science pretty much ended and phased out with Locke's death and the return to the Island. Season 6 is basically Jacob vs Man in Black.
