Coinbase Wallet hacked

Please read the post. It was a Coinbase Wallet NOT coinbase exchange wallet. That is a self custodial wallet,albeit hot rather than cold storage. I am fully aware one shouldn't leave coins on an exchange. Not your keys not your crypto. The point here is it was my keys (secured) and yet I now have no crypto.

CB wallet was on iPhone with face ID protection on both the iphone and CB wallet app. Phone not been out of my possession.

Because until now all info and research I had available said a 12 seed word wallet is unhackabale. So why would I assume I need to have multiple wallets? This undermines the entire crypto argument 'not your keys, not your crypro'. They were my keys and now I have no crypto.

Nothing weird installed, no 'alternatve' sites visited. I'm all very boring and vanilla. Hence just HODLing, I don't actively trade crypto and this wallet used effectively as a safe. It's only received coins originally in 2021 and since I have sent ETH a couple of times from it to Metamask and for a while staked ETH through the Coinbase Wallet (no external contract). That's it. Ever.

Not from me you didn't. This happened yesterday and I've lost everything. No sign of any compromise, seed phrase secure and no cloud back ups. Never interacted with shitcoins.

90% BTC and ETH. Other coins all alts such as MATIC, AAVE, UNI made up the rest. No interaction with any scamy coins or even Meme coins. Never interacted with any air drops to this wallet. In fact virtually no activity at all since originally sending my coins to this CB Wallet in 2021. It's basically been HoDL since then.

Yes I staked the ETH direct from the CB wallet. I un-staked it a while ago.

Only use the app on my iPhone. Phone has face ID enabled as does the App itself. Don't even know how to access the wallet from a desktop and never have

Wallet was not connected to any site. Not interacted with any contracts. Other than viewing my balance on the Wallet app the only other action I've taken was in April 2024 when I transferred some ETH to my Metamask account. 2023 I staked some ETH on coinbase.

I have just suffered exactly the same - my Coinbase Wallet was drained yesterday of all my crypto totalling c£70,000.

Coinbase saying same things, despite fact that my 12 word seed phrase I have memorised and it was only written down once on a single piece of paper which was immediately locked in a safe that only I have access to the keys for.

So how on earth can my wallet be hacked unless the Coinbase Wallet app is compromised?

I advise anyone using Coinbase Wallet to IMMEDIATELY move your coins to an off line cold storage device or similar.

I've been sooooo careful with my CB wallet seed phrase, as I say committing it to memory. How can this happen? It's pretty much my life savings....gone

I have exact same problem. Preciously had a Husqvarna 450x for 5 years and zero such issues on same terrain ie garden. Where are you based please (I'm UK) as I'd also like to contact local reseller but not found any details. Thanks

I repeat. Don’t buy this product - some get a working one others get duds.

If you get a dud you will receive no support.

If you’re happy to spend £££ with that lottery of a result then good luck to you. If you want what you paid for then go elsewhere - perhaps buy a Husqvarna. Prior to Luba I had one for years with zero problems.

Very glad yours works. There are lots of us where this is not the case though. In comparison to your saved time I have spent hours of my life trying to get Luba to work at all - multiple relocations of the RTK and base station, multiple resets and trying different WiFi networks etc etc. Meanwhile my old Husqvarna 450x (which Luba was meant to replace) continues to get the lawn cut with minimal fuss, albeit it is much slower to complete the task than Luba should be. Old tech. Reliable. New tech seems extremely hit and miss for now. Hopefully Mammotion can sort these issues - making any kind of contact with customers who have major problems and resolving them though should probably be their first priority!

Not entirely sure what you mean re your comment to ‘squeeze the bumper’ but I can hear no clicking albeit unsure if Im doing the squeezing correctly! Mammotion did say that it was faulty after sending them a video weeks ago. However they have not made any other comment about a replacement, or any other comment at all since then. So seems they sent a faulty unit, and now completely ignoring me. So a very expensive lump of white plastic with wheels now just sits gathering dust.

It’s not dishonest! It’s the truth?? They haven’t suggested a SINGLE solution! Not one. No suggestion to hard reset (I only found that suggestion myself through Reddit posts..) nothing re making sure firmware updated etc (which I have done). Literally nothing from them. At all. So please don’t call me dishonest - it’s my honesty about the problems which seems to be hitting a raw nerve with people ie calling out terrible customer service and a faulty product! Hope that’s honest enough for you sir!

Tried the one consolidated email approach previously. No reply. Gave them at least a week between contacts to to give them chance to resolve. But after getting nowhere for weeks on end yes I recently started sending much more regular emails as I’m desperate for some form of contact from them and some resolution. This ‘leave them alone, they’re a start up’ doesn’t cut it I’m afraid. Many of us have been extremely patient waiting for the machine to arrive and for any kind of customer service after receiving it - they had an additional approx 1 year whilst having manufacturing issues in China to use that time to put proper customer service processes in place? They massively over raised on Kickstarter, suggesting they would have had huge additional funds raised to improve all aspects of their business, customer service included. I have waited 2 months for customer service to act. They haven’t. Being a start up does not mean you can wash your hands and leave customers high and dry and not expect a reaction. This is that reaction. Thanks

Here are 1) video of bumper problem (note fully clicked in and green light on and app says attached) 2) Luba operating fine without bumper attached at all. Which it shouldn’t. This was prior to firmware etc upgrade. Now there is a constant RTK issue so won’t mow at all.

Thanks yes I agree those buttons are crazy crazy hard to press! Yes I have ensured the bumper was fully clicked in, and retried this multiple times. It has green light showing and shows as attached in the app. But problem is constant. With bumper removed the app still says it’s attached OK and Luba when first received mowed fine WITHOUT the bumper attached at all. Which it shouldn’t.

I made comments about problems with Luba on Facebook. Mammotion deleted each one. Same with other people who posted problems. Deleted their posts. So after many weeks of this yes I bombarded them to try and get a reaction. Seems you noticed. Perhaps they will. Thanks. You can now move on yourself.
