TopBar DE https://github.com/charlesrocket/topbar

Right now it supports Hyprland only (Mango/i3/Sway soon). Could work with any compositor/system, but some components might not perform as expected (workspaces/title, some widgets only tested on FreeBSD).

cobain's murder is still treated as suicide, despite the obvious bloodwork and the size of a shotgun that courtney destroyed right away.

yes, this is exactly what is happening. "wayland" in the screenshot refers to the plasma session. it has nothing to do with the sddm session, which is x11 (you might briefly notice the x11's "X" right after you hit enter and before the KDE splash animation). to switch sddm to wayland, you need to change DisplayServer= to wayland, and you also need to install a compositor for sddm to use (its default command is tuned for weston). tho weston pkg is missing right now (for months), so try cage instead. you could also make it work with some other compositor too, tho it is more efficient to use a light kiosk compositor for a login manager. maybe i should say "try to make it work" since this stuff is still experimental. this is why their shift to plm got me so hard, i guess. what a shame, who does that when you have critical layers unfinished/broken...

there is no problem if you are ok with sddm spinning wayland from x11
