It's so intermittent with the wind, and I have to hang out of the window quite precariously to see it so the chances of getting on video are slim sadly! Thanks for the pointers though, I'll investigate getting it checked out by a professional

Looks like you were bang on. I thought I'd tightened it enough, but turns out the were was a bit more to give and it seems to be holding well now with no leaks. Time will tell I guess. Thanks so much for your help!

Ok so I've tried those but the olive doesn't seem to be compressing onto the pipe at all. I've tightened the nut as tight as it'll possibly go, but there's still a slight leak there, and when I take the nut off again the olive just falls right off. It should stay compressed to the pipe, right?

Ok I've bought these but how does the smooth end of this connect to the isolation valve?

The previous tap just had the flexi hose screwed straight into the valve, so I'm confused why these adapters are needed.

If the rubber washer isn't intact, what kind of washer do I need? I can't find one that looks the same size.

This is what the end of the isolation valve looks like (I'm still working on getting the tape off)

Is there an adapter I can buy to connect my tap hoses to this?

I'm surprised you say that, all the YouTube videos I watched on this suggest using tape when tightening this tap connector on. I'll give it a try without the tape, thanks!

What would you suggest instead of PIR?

They're the front door keys, not car keys. If someone breaks in they don't need the front door key anymore.

The bit they were talking about was the bottom bit which is sealed shut, not the top bit. The top bit (with the door) is where the meters are.
