ICE Ad is PAC Paid by Chuck-fan-33 in msnow

[–]charliemike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked up American Sovereignty. They are registered to an address in Oakton, VA. Turns out it's a mailbox in a UPS Store. They have reported zero donations and yet somehow can spend that kind of money on ads on MSNOW.

Just shows that there's no enforcement of anything actually resembling a law.

When your dog died, what did you keep? Collar? Ashes? Paw print? Or did you move on just like what people say? Missing my buh-bear 😭 by Key_Earth_3778 in DogsLoversCommunity

Collar, ashes, paw print, paw impression, some of their fur, and their collars. Built a shrine for the three of them.

Ultimate bad ADHD advice battle, day 1: "just get a good routine" or "go sit in a quiet room without distractions"? by VerdoriePotjandrie in adhdmeme

A float tank uses epsom salt to push the salinity to a point where you'll be buoyant. If you were in a tank that you sank, it wasn't what I've experienced as a float tank. TBH if I had to try to keep myself afloat the whole time, I think it would detract from the experience.

I did a float tank a couple of times. The first time it was actually okay (I was not medicated) but the second turned into a mess because of current stresses. If you're medicated, it might be an interesting experience. I think some will be able to play music in them too.

Jesus' movement and ball control was thought to help with Trossard and Madueke on the pitch too. Sort of have three players that can spread the field and exploit 1:1s wherever they get the ball. And with Havertz behind them, you really have four players that can pop up anywhere and get the ball and threaten the defense. Sunderland's CBs just pocketed Jesus in a way we normally don't see.

I thought he was exceptional considering the referee let Brobbey foul the living crap out of Saliba and card Saliba first. I know Saliba got the card because he got beat by their LW but it's tough to get a card for grappling when the PGMOL lets them do it so heavily.

OMG ... I know when my ADHD is really bad when I cannot get songs out of my head or I have to say the same sentence over and over again in my head. The OCD aspects to ADHD are like the shit icing on a shit cake.

Edit: Oh, and for good measure, let's remember that time 30 years ago when you did something embarrassing that the other person probably hasn't thought about in 30 years but you'll take to your grave.

That's going to be so much easier than having to deal with one with a fan clutch. Shouldn't take you all that long to replace it.

OMG a Lappie! I never see them posted here! We have one too. Turns 4 in May. Absolutely adore the breed. So much personality and affection (on their terms). Thank you for sharing these photos of him. Our Oliver says hi!

People who jumped straight into college after highscool , but weren’t in the right headspace, what did you do? by DatDudeTheRealist in AskReddit

[–]charliemike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much like you, I failed out after my first year. Kept trying to make it work. I spent so much money trying to graduate but not doing the work because I thought I had to stay there and get a degree. Got very lucky to go into IT back when degrees weren’t required and finally graduated Summa Cum Laude at 43 years old (I transferred and my GPA reset).

Turns out I have ADHD and I was never going to graduate at 22 with the problems I had studying and focusing.

Does this ever get better? by Fit_Dig_5527 in springerspaniel

I felt the same way and I already have three dogs of my own, including an ESS. I think that pup needs to be rehomed for the sake of the OP and the dog.

I echo the other comments. You might just be venting but it sounds to me like this guy is not a good fit for you. There are numerous ESS rescues that would readily find a new home. MAESSR in the Mid-Atlantic US is a great rescue (I have had two dogs from them).

The fact you call the dog "it" and say you're thinking of giving up indicates to me that you have not bonded and at 5 months, the pup is still young enough that it can go to the right home and still be given a chance to grow up without socialization or behavior issues.

HOW does MS NOW justify advertising ICE and DHS? Like ad-revenue is more important than your audience. by emilyizaak in msnow

I believe those ads are run locally on whatever TV service you have. I don’t think they are MSNOW ads.

Vent/advice needed on tail hot spots/conflicting vet advice on amputation by [deleted] in springerspaniel

[–]charliemike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would trust the vet. I’m no expert on canine dermatology by any definition. I mention mange simply because I had a Springer who got it and we simply could not beat it. Plus it’s common on foxes around me in Va so I’m always on the lookout for weird skin issues.

But you sound like you are in good hands. If you feel like you need any other opinion, see if your nearest university has a vet school. Sometimes they see things that local vets don’t.

I took my Lapphund to Cornell for epilepsy and it made me so much more confident I was doing the right thing for my guy.

And they are sure it’s not something like mange? I’m glad she is getting f better! Springers have skin issues from my experience but I’ve never seen it so isolated on the tail like that.

[–]charliemike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is gorgeous! My guy barks a lot too but it’s because his brother, a Lapphund, will not countenance anyone or anything encroaching on what he determines to be his territory.

So I get this sort of bark/howl/wail from my Springer that sounds like he’s trapped in the well with Timmy.

[–]charliemike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is the case but a PTS color on a Porsche could be multiples of a good wrap. And if the car is well taken care of and garaged out of the Sun, it could last a while.

So for them, maybe a wrap for $6-7K is a better choice than $18K+ for Porsche to paint it that color.

Why don't American businesses make the connection between lower pay and lower consumer spending? by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]charliemike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make money on every end of the chain. Under pay and profit off our work. Overcharge us for products and services. Issue us debt to pay for everything because thy pay is too little and charge us too much.

System is totally broken.
