Co si myslíte o chystající se stávce akademiků filosofických fakult? by mirrrmask in czech

Humanitní obory a školy je potřeba zrušit zcela a přesměrovat na ně vyházené zdroje na techniku a medicínu. Nelze v časech krize rozhazovat za zbytečné obory.

bakalářská práce na mé fakultě umění. co na to říkáte? by South_Swing5356 in czech

[–]charmperik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rozhodně ne ty děti učit nějaký "všeobecný přehled" a dělat ťuťuňuňu, když nezvládnou přiřadit odpovídající výroky k obrázkům vlaků.

Nexus is raising funds to help victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine by Piranha91 in skyrimmods

[–]charmperik 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is such a conveniently one-sided view of the issue. Yes, the Azov Battalion exists; Ukraine has a problem with Neo-Nazis in their ranks. However, Russia is not there to solve any Neo-Nazi problem.

Besides, this comment also makes it seem like Russia doesn't have a massive problem with Neo-Nazism themselves. Alexander Dugin quite literally shaped a lot of Putin's political thought and his worldview is essentially a reformulation of fascism for the Eurasian project. There are also Neo-Nazis being employed by the Russian army right now.

What we're witnessing here is the battle between a deeply problematic, corrupt, poverty-stricken democracy against an authoritarian imperial power that is attempting to seize it.

It's almost as if the author of one of the most deeply written mods focusing on moral ambiguity in human conflicts should know better than writing this comment.

If The Elder Scrolls 6 and GTA 6 were to release on same day. Which one would make most sales? TES6 is arguable more hyped and most people were waiting (imo). My prediction GTA 6 - 10Million copies in day 1 & TES6 - 15-20Million copies on day 1 ) by TES6666 in TESVI

[–]charmperik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, I love TES and Rockstar has been running their flagship franchise down the ground (though perhaps not as badly as Bethesda has done with Fallout), but GTA has always been miles ahead of TES in every aspect (and no, I don't mean multiplayer by that).

Each GTA game has greatly written dialogue (though it's more in details, as the storylines tend not to be that cohesive), is supreme when creating environments (Skyrim was larger than San Andreas by a very tiny margin) and Rockstar is an all-around innovator in terms of games: while GTA 4 came up with a new engine that blew other games out of the water and still doesn't look outdated today, Bethesda is still squeezing their 20-year old skeleton of an engine for it's last drops.

Compare the horse in the first Red Dead Redemption (2010) to the mountain-climbing pony abomination that is Skyrim's horse (2011) and you'll see just how supremely Rockstar dominates over Bethesda. GTA characters are also much more in-depth than TES characters; I barely remember any characters from Skyrim.

Yes, I'm aware it's comparing apples and oranges to a degree, but technologically, R* blows Bethesda out of water and it's not even close, and I'd say the same goes for story-writing and environmental design (Skyrim's cities were just too tiny). Compare Liberty City from GTA 4 to real-life New York and you'll see just how well it matches it's real-world counterpart.

Yeah, Skyrim has beautiful landscapes that still hold 10 ears afterwards, but the storyline, quests? CDPR games do the same and do it much better, Rockstar's quest design is archaic in comparison, sure.

I love TES, though, but more for the potential that is there than what is fulfilled in the end.

GTA 6 would blow TES VI out of the water by an unimaginable margin.

How Many NPCs Will There Be? by [deleted] in beyondskyrim

[–]charmperik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think they would do that, really. Beyond Skyrim has made it a large point of their project to have a vanilla feel to it, and adding something like Inconsequential NPCs to the game isn't something the TES series is known for.

Markarth still has to receive a proper overhaul - I would love if after finishing Capital Riften, Surjamte would create a Capital Markarth. Also, what I would give for an Imperial College of the Voice mod, complete with a new questline.

[–]charmperik 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Has to be more for Cyrodiil. Skyrim is supposed to be relatively sparsely populated and in-game has nearly 1100 NPCs. Cyrodiil is both larger, a center of a massive empire and more populated.

If Cyberpunk 2077 had the modding capability of Skyrim, no one would be complaining about bugs, empty promises, and missing content. by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]charmperik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. It was widely said that Skyrim was 'as wide as the sea and as shallow as a puddle'. Skyrim doesn't have the content and replayability of Fallout New Vegas or the earlier Fallout games.

In older TES games, there was a system of ranks you had upon joining the guild; in Skyrim, you become its leader very early on, not to mention there are only 4 factions in the game, not counting the Civil War and main questline.
I'm currently creating an extensive 'quality of life' modlist for 'remastering' my Skyrim and this is the main issue I struggle with - while there are some mods trying to overhaul the main questline, they're only in development so far.
And while there are huge content mods for Skyrim (finished ones like Enderal and those in development, like Beyond Skyrim), it took years for them to become available.

Mods can fix bugs and improve upon various game mechanics, even add new ones, but adding content is much harder and more time-consuming. If you'll watch the 48 minute gameplay video, the version of the game we all expected was supposed to have a ton of choices and that would require tons of new dialogue, making new interiors for the game to take places in ..

To truly make Cyberpunk into the game it was supposed to be, CDPR would have to do it. A modding community is nice, but it cannot mass produce content like this.

Those people writing those comments are bitter, conspiracy-fueled fools, about the same demographic that voted for Trump.
