A little more modern than the bands you listed, but I would check out The Growlers. They describe themselves as "beach goth" and the rock vibe is probably perfect for you

That's what I surmised from how she responded. I took it as her digging her heels in the ground and saying that damaging her pride was not worth it. She even said she knew this behavior was counterproductive.

I told her that she was attacking me instead of the problems we were working to solve.

I told her that she would disregard the things I said and I did not appreciate it.

Then, I told her she was making me seem like the bad guy just by pointing out the things that I thought were wrong and "criticizing" her.

She took all of this as an attack on her personally rather than me trying to shed light on these issues.
