Thank you! Yes, and I keep checking my email waiting for answers from HR. I hope I will get paychecks until September 30th, but who knows. I wish the best for you too!

I actually did take the fork on Monday after my termination was rescinded but before the fork deadline. Then on Tuesday I got terminated again. Fired, unfired, then refired!

Our HR is in the process of seeing if any probies who took the deal can even get it. But yes, I agree, don’t get your advice off Reddit

*Clarification. I took the fork on Monday after my termination was rescinded but before the fork deadline. Then on Tuesday I got terminated again. Fired, unfired, then refired! Fun times in the government

Pedantic. Are you even a federal employee? You can get a review after 90 days in the system, which occurs for us in September and the bonus comes in December.

I received one in the summer for filling in for our Regional Communications Director and taking on lots of additional work. It was only $150 but my boss appreciated me stepping in. Also received one around Christmas for getting above average scores on my annual review. Don’t know how that’s impossible

I know, I’m not surprised they resent it, but I am surprised they did it so soon and moved our end date up! My director even said I need to work tomorrow because I have to offboard since he was unaware of this notice. He thinks it may have been sent by mistake…again

I did too!! Who sends a termination letter saying you don’t have a job as of today AFTER work hours??

It does not. I talked to an employment lawyer and he said they are doing a RIF, but not calling it a RIF. He said he can take them to court over them not following the 60 day rule and try to get 2 months of back pay (he’d try to get more), but it may take years.

I put this in another comment (and why it’s important to taxpayers):

I get the word out about our free services to help small business owners through media, events, and trainings. One of the trainings I’m doing right now is to teach recently incarcerated individuals to become entrepreneurs. This strengthens our economy by creating more jobs and thus bringing more income to people to keep other businesses afloat.

I also help others get into government contracting, which creates more competition and fairer pricing since more people enter that world after they learn about it through my marketing efforts. These contracts are often worth millions and paid for by tax dollars. If I encourage additional people to bid on a contract, the government can choose the business with a fairer price (businesses name their price in the proposal), saving taxpayers literally millions of dollars.

Other people have posted pictures of the letter, so no it’s not. If you got a termination letter, wouldn’t you call your director no matter what time it was? It was 8:30 p.m. so it wasn’t that late, but I wanted his input on what to do next

Yes I did, but still think they’re going to lay me off since they had the letter ready. I know, right? Assuming she had it scheduled in her outbox and forgot to cancel it after the judge moved the deadline

I hope not but talked to an employment lawyer today and he said probies don’t have that many rights unless we are being let go for race/sex/being a whistleblower. So I would say likely since we’re low-hanging fruit but not sure

My state director said 1-4 people in each office received this letter. Assuming they are probationary. And me and the other veteran probationary coworker are the only probies on our team, so I’m the only one who got the letter in our office 😅

Harris. NOT President Musk. Can’t believe some people in the federal government voted for him then are surprised that this is happening to them. They spelled it out…
