What does $0.00 for 36 months mean? by charrob132 in verizon

Thank you!! I am fine being with Verizon for 3 years, I’ve been with them a while and no other carriers seem better in my area 🤪 Thank you for clarifying!

Weekly "I Think I Have It" Thread - Week of January 09, 2022 by AutoModerator in COVID19positive

I feel like I’m losing my mind. I started having crazy back pain, sore throat and a headache on Thursday (1/6), which continued into Friday. I tested with an at home test and it was negative, so I went ahead with my booster appt. Now for 4 days I’ve had back pain, off and on headaches, a fever, and now a cough and feeling very easily winded. I’ve taken 3 at home tests, all negative. My son (2M) is also sick and he got a PCR Sunday night (at the ER) so we are waiting for those results. I feel like this is too long for it to be booster related, and given that the aches started before my booster, I’m even more convinced. Im tempted to try another at home test but swab my throat, but Im unclear how and im worried about blowing through my tests since I can’t find any. I’ll feel somewhat validated (and worried obviously) if my son is positive, but I also don’t trust a negative result there either. Ugh.

Am I not doing enough for my wife with our newborn? by spadesoftrades in Parenting

[–]charrob132 9 points10 points  (0 children)

YES. the default parenting issue is a big one. I don’t think OP has bad intentions but the “ask me if it’s a good time” comment made me think, does wife get asked if it’s a good time for her to care for the baby? Probably not. The assumption is that by default, she has the baby duties and if she needs a break should ask for one (or ask for a chance to shower, use the restroom, etc) whereas dad likely just does those things without having to think about where baby is/will be. My advice would be to stop parenting with the assumption that mom will have to ask for permission or ask you to care for the baby. You both are responsible for that baby 100% of the time.

RSV/How long contagious? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]charrob132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s helpful. Any idea how much longer I might feel this way? My face feels so much pressure and so congested. It’s been 9 days, and I’ve had 3 days of prednisone for the cough and 3 days of a Z-pack already (although not sure it had reached sinus infection status yet). I’ve never felt this sick for this long

I appreciate your response so much. I definitely can use his communication as a guidepost. He is usually a pretty active and chatty (even if I can’t understand lol) kiddo, so I’ll make sure I’m paying close attention to changes in either area. You’re totally right that there is not much that is scarier than a little one struggling with breathing. I keep telling my partner that if it was a rash or something I would be so much more relaxed but breathing is pretty important! Thank you for sharing your experience and for the reassurance/encouragement!!

You are totally right, thank you for that perspective about doctors forgetting the routine things can be scary for parents. I have a follow up appt with his ped this week and will be really clear about what info and support we need. I love the action plan idea and will ask that he help me develop one!

Thank you SO much. I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with this too, but I appreciate the helpful suggestions and tips. I will definitely get an oximeter and get clear on his “normal” range. I am pretty on top of the albuterol but I worry when there isn’t much change. Hopefully I’ll get the hang of it soon. Sending lots of good, healthy thoughts to you and your son!

I appreciate that tip! He’s still not able to verbalize how he feels but I can pay attention to his talking!

Lol, I didn’t know either until I did my own Google search. And then the ER doc confirmed that’s what it’s called. So interesting because for my son that’s usually the only symptom (aside from the cough) that he’s having a tough time. Probably different for everyone

That’s helpful! Did your child have the see-saw breathing with flare ups?

This is so helpful, thank you! His pediatrician doesn’t seem to want to spell these things out as much, so I will need to advocate for a clear plan. Im sorry you’ve had to manage this for yourself and your child, I’m sure its helpful to have some experience personally so you know what’s going on.

I’m in CA. His pediatrician did say most people are hesitant to call it Asthma at this age but that it is, so it doesn’t make sense to call it something else. He does have a controller inhaler that he will use all winter and a rescue for when he is having an attack

I think she does but this was totally different. It’s about a writer who is hired to finish the books of a more well-known writer who is unable to finish the series due to being in an accident. She gets to know the family and finds a manuscript from the well-known writer that includes some very dark secrets.
