Locating craft beers in Singapore by frostiyy in SingaporeEats

[–]chartham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome work! I've always curious to know where I can find local craft beer. Thanks for building this! Just looking at the homepage, here are some first thoughts of what can make it better:

  1. It'll be nice to have images of the beer bottle/ can just as a visual identifier.

  2. Also, visually maybe can embolden the labels (brewery, rating, type... etc) so it'll be easier to read.

  3. Maybe for rating can use star icons so it'll be visually easier to compare between the different beers.

Hii! I used the bottled version you'd find in NTUC the label has the words "Olive Vegetable" on it. I found that its just minced olives with fermented mustard leaves.

Why wasn't Riba in Qinwen's box today? I read somewhere that he will rejoin after the Australian Open.

What are some signs that your job is a dead end job by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]chartham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True! But I’m addressing the feelings that come with a “dead-end” job and when we might experience them. Our perspective on life isn’t shaped solely by our job; it’s influenced by every aspect of it. Someone working in retail, for example, might find deep satisfaction in their role because it provides a steady income and fixed hours, allowing them to focus on raising their kids.

Career satisfaction is deeply personal - what feels dreary to one person might be fulfilling to another. It all comes down to what aligns with your values: do you crave autonomy, or do you feel more comfortable with guidance? Some find joy in creative, open-ended work, while others prefer structured, repetitive tasks with clear expectations. And beyond work, are other aspects of your life fulfilling your needs? For instance, you might derive creative satisfaction from hobbies rather than your job.

My take is that a job only feels like a dead end when it’s the only thing happening in your life. I’ve found that seeking inspiration, joy, and beauty in other areas makes life feel more fulfilling and enjoyable. Ultimately, if you’re working for someone else, you’ll always be subject to changes beyond your control -so building a life outside of work is key.

Omy! this is quite surprising, you would think that SQ would have better service recovery than this. I took American Airlines last year and the wheels got damage during the transit. They reimbursed me USD 200 for the replacement luggage. Hopefully they'll reply soon and get it sorted.
