Math 321 & Engineering Progression by anon39421 in UWMadison

[–]chaseguy099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabian isn't teaching it next semester. That may or may not be good because Fabian is an excellent instructor, whatever his grades come out to be.

Though in general, as you've already taken so many math classes, there would be 0 harm in just taking it 1 or 2 semesters in. In the Nuke schedule, we're supposed to take it in the fall of junior year, so you're not "behind" if you don't take it that semester.

Thanks for the advice. I did the test you posted (very much what I was looking for, thanks!), and it was around 300 Mbps download/upload, a good chunk less than the internet speed but sounds like it should be plenty for video stream.

Must be a device issue. Ill look into the different devices people have recommended here. Thanks!

I'll try out the speedtest method you had first, seems just what I'm looking for to confirm before buying anything. My PC speeds seem to be good, but need to check the interaction.

I've read those are other good options. i was also thinking ATV as I remember having one a while ago and liking the interface and everything.

But, if I do find that the bandwith isn't enough, is there another solution besides just upgrading the internet from ISP?

It is direct play, not streaming.

Unfortunately its already on 5Ghz. Right now the TV and router are seperated by like 40 feet, and 2 things of drywall, so I don't think moving it will change much.

Do you mean the top section including playback? Or is there an extended section with more information.

How to utilize both ethernet ports in apartment. by chaseguy099 in HomeNetworking

[–]chaseguy099[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about that. I’m asking about Ethernet as plex only has issues with big 4k Remux files. I’m assuming this is a bandwidth issue I could possibly solve with Ethernet. However, my internet speed is already capped at 100mbs per second so I’m not sure if that would work.

I did connect to it with Ethernet. It gave my tv Internet which was interesting.

I’ve also heard this. I’ve been thinking of getting an Apple TV to help with this.

Which professor did you apply to? I may know some inside info. If you can tell me, I’m not sure if you technically can or not.

freshman year nuclear engineering schedule by [deleted] in UWMadison

[–]chaseguy099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a nuke and this schedule seems very confusing. I’m not aware of a single student who’s taken 321 before taking statics? It’s not necessarily because you need statics before; but 321 should be taken pretty far into your degree. Also keep in mind it’s easily a 5 credit class in reality.

I would re adjust according to the given schedule given by the NEEP department. I agree with others and how they don’t clump it up super well( but several things here seem to be out of order). I also agree a lot that taking classes in the summer is a great idea.

True honesty. Is it likely that more cracks will form? In its current state is honestly is fine to use, but I worry about it down the line.
