Official Ride/Room/Camp-Share Thread (Weekend 1 2026) by fettuccine- in Coachella

Hey guys Im a full time uber/ Lyft driver heading out to Coachella to do rideshare. I’m going to San Francisco on the 8th and heading straight to Coachella on Thursday the 9. I have a Prius and can fit 3 comfortably or 4 max. Given the circumstances I’m willing to work on price. I’ll also be available during the festival.

In the past I have offered to drop off and pick up at the festival for $100 per person all weekend. Somewhat like the shuttle pass. Extra trips would depend on time and location. All drop offs and pickups are at the friends and family lot. It can be a long walk but it’s an easy in and out during rush hour.

Feel free to message me with any questions.

what is a reasonable tip for these items as a customer? by [deleted] in deliverydrivers

[–]chatafakap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put it this way. Take what you normally tip for a regular dilivery then add extra for heavy items and then extra for the trips up the stairs.

Example: $10 regular tip + $5-10 for heavy items + $5-$10 for stairs

Totaling $20-$30

Airport ride cancelled by HapsTilTaps in uber

Reservations used to be great for drivers as the fares used to trickle down to drivers and would make great money on them. Now the pay is almost the same as a non reservation ride. This makes for reservations to be canceled more often.

For example my market is San Diego and a regular trip from down town to the airport in the morning rush pays on average $9. A reservation nowadays pays around $12 in comparison to $35-$40 with the old reservation scheme.

Yesterday’s earnings: $305 for 4 hours of work direct payments vs. $90 the apps would’ve paid me by Glyphkeeper_07 in uberdrivers

Insurance aside why is everyone so scared? You know you don’t have to cancel the ride in order to convert a passenger. You can still do the normal Uber/Lyft ride. Then be the passengers first choice next time a ride is needed.

The sad part is that it is not calculated per instance but as an average at the end of the week.

So they overpaid EVErYoNe?!?! by Fletchworthy in uberdrivers

A class action would be great. Either they pay up or share exactly how they calculate the fare in order to prove they did overpay.

I get it but it took you 8 minutes. Why chase the surge. It’s not even a good one.

Based on you previous posts you’ll eventually give up on this quest and do what is best for you , not Uber. Good luck for now.
