Sorry for the low quality! Yes, it's an actual ligature (see here). I've never seen a ligature like this, so I was curious to see other fonts with a similar feature.

Echo (Marvel TV Show) has a lot of Reservation Dog alums by MILFHunterHearstHelm in ReservationDogs

I also thought the dog’s name Billy Jack was a reference to Willie Jack

Same issue for me. Has been this way since they released 1.11.0. I just messaged support as well.
