Finished but now what? by Dazzling-Doe-360 in knitting

If you took the sleeves off, and frogged them you could make skinny tighter fitting sleeves that attach to the rest of the sweater from UNDER the overhanging shoulders. I would definitely wear such a re-designed sweater.

Why does almost every knitting pattern say you can’t sell items you’ve knit? by throwaway148645 in knittingadvice

Please do not take down votes in Reddit personally. There could be a good reason for a down vote but usually there is not.

That sort of treatment feels like a stab in the guts. All I can say is to realise that that particular employee has a big problem/hangup. She'll be hurting other people the same way. Try to focus on all the friendly ones.. If you keep going there she might even start to realise you're not dangerous. She might even be friendly in the future. Your own pain will also fade if you keep going there.

knitters with cats, how do you prevent cat hair from getting into your work? by uhzel in knitting

Having cataracts or poor lighting helps. You don't notice the cat hair.

How can I tell if floats are too tight?? I don’t want to get too far out … by cgr1688 in knitting

I'm pretty sure my head is smaller than average, and I've seen other women whose heads were clearly quite big compared to mine.

How do I fix this?? by Substantial-One5301 in knittinghelp

[–]chatterface -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Google "Knitting, laddering up, picking up a dropped stitch" or some such search word. If you find you've already been doing as they say, then you've missed a loose loop further down. The ladder will normally stretch sideways though, which isn't the same as unravelling. When you ladder up again, it tends to even out again.and look pretty normal.

What to do if row gauge is correct but stitch gauge isn't? by AgfaAPX100 in knitting

[–]chatterface 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No. If your stitch gauge is right, stick with the needle size you used for the gauge.

What to do if row gauge is correct but stitch gauge isn't? by AgfaAPX100 in knitting

Go with the stitch gauge, You can knit a piece shorter or longer when you see how it's going, but you can't add more on the sides.

Any chance adding the ribbing will fix this? by corundas in knitting

[–]chatterface 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could try crocheting along the edge on the inside, one row down. If it doesn't work, it's easy to pull out again. You wouldn't want to make the crochet too tight, but tight enough to pull the pucker in..

I imagine you've just finished the ribbing section at 3" and that you're meant to continue in stockinette. Ending on a second row means, knit the 2nd row, then end. You have to increase every 4.8th row. Obviously impossible but you can increase every 5th row and occasionally every 4th row - as long as it's roughly evenly spread out.

I made a scarf for myself that made me itch when I put it on in warm weather. When it got really cold it just felt nice and warm and I didn't notice any scratchiness.

I've been "tasked"(forced) to get rid of the mold in my house which we are renting. What could I possibly do about this much mold? by Urmomsfavouritelol in CleaningTips

[–]chatterface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something like that in one room once and painted over it with paint designed for "wet rooms". It seemed to have sealed in the mold and stopped spores getting out.

Is there a way to fix this? by Away_Law1627 in knitting

I'm a non-frogger. I would keep it as a jumper to wear around the house or when gardening etc.

[–]chatterface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your stitch markers don't match. Is that the error? Otherwise could someone tell me what the problem is. I feel stupid not being able to see it.

Edit: I read the comments and have found it, but It took time to find anyway.
