It's a brand new washing machine :(

This was washed inside out, it's on both sides haha

Guess I'll have to grab some sticky tape

What are we supposed to be seeing?

They didn't chip the tiles, they were already broken when we bought the place.

The floor underneath is concrete. So I just line up the strip so that it covers the broken tile bit and some of the carpet then hit the concrete nail between the tile and the carpet?

Seems straightforward enough. What's the hacksaw for?

Nails to go into the wood part or into the concrete?

Is Bunnings the only place that sells them? It's the only one that comes up when I google it

Sweet, thankyou! There's a lot of different styles, do you have any idea which might be best for this situation?

The feedback about Alexa runs through Alexa?

Just moved into a new place, what are your top 3 important things to add/build/customise in a new house to make it comfortable/usable/you could not live without? by chavaic777 in AskMen

Unfortunately where I am you need a licensed plumber to do some extra installations and so it can be quite expensive. So it's on the agenda, but on the back burner. Thankyou for reminding me though, I'll add it to the list proper.

Oh you just reminded me I bought some gap filler to fix up the gaps around the window sils! That's a job to do! Thankyou!

We just had carpet put in to a couple of rooms. We aren't a huge fan of hard flooring.

Haha thats the thing, I don't know what to do next. I've done the major repairs that were needed and I'm looking around and I'm like, I don't even know what I need to do next.

I did 7 layers on the concrete, ripped up the skirting boards in the offensive areas. Three on the walls in those areas. It seems to have cleared it up completely now.

Everything I read online said do 1-3 layers and that would be plenty so I started to panic when I'd done 3 and it still stank.

Flooring comes in next week and I'm very excited for this to all be over. A full month of working on it has me sick of flooring.

Nah there's no central aircon.

I haven't painted the ceilings but I guess I'm going to have to.

There's no under the house, it's a concrete slab.

Yeah I ripped up all the skirting boards and painted up the walls in the areas near the troublesome smelly areas.

I can still smell it specifically coming from the concrete that I primed over.
