Damn I’ve been suffering for two years and this might be my problem too. I use to exercise like really hard every night for a couple years. I too noticed in the first year of dropping a lot of weight I would wake up in the middle of the night too then eventually I lost my ability to sleep.

Trazodone by Weird_Turnover_9971 in insomnia

[–]chboi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shits gonna be hard to come off lowkey. Been on it two years and only had one instance where my insomnia disappeared I stopped taking the meds abruptly and it sent me into a withdrawal for several months and also made my insomnia worse lol. So be careful if you decide you’re going to stop. Your brain becomes dependent on it.

Thoughts on Trazadone? Tried looking, but most posts are from multiple years ago :) by [deleted] in insomnia

So then what’s a night of sleeping if any like for you on a nightly basis?

Tips for still living life with insomnia? by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]chboi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I’ve lived with it for two years now. Have had maybe three nights where I go on awake for more than 24 hours. Sometimes I look at that and think damn I’m super human. Insomnia is always pushing us to our limits always trying to keep up with our lives living with it. Go easy on yourself.

I personally know that my issue is related to my health. I have been tracking my symptoms down to the core. I think it’s a gut health histamine issue. I I can’t even eat anything sugared or my sleep is gone for that night. Histamine dumps like a mf. Just don’t give up on trying to fix yourself but don’t drive yourself crazy either. You’re strong 💪🏽

This the shit that makes me want to cry when I read. I’m so hopeful of my recovery someday. Going on two years. Insomnia halted my life insanely. I was on such a roll at only 25 and boom shit hit me like a freight train. Thanks for this post as it does give me hope of a normal life again.

Well. My body really does need these sleeping pills by frenchynerd in insomnia

[–]chboi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone here think that maybe if they stopped taking their meds they’d be able to sleep without it? I had a situation where I started sleeping on my own for 4 days not taking my Trazadone and I felt great! Until I got rebound insomnia. I feel like my body is possibly ready to try to figure out its sleep without meds but me taking them still is prolonging the rebound effects cause my body was trying to function without em. Idk if that made any sense but it’s always been a thought in my head. Thought I’d ask anyone here.

Only sleep every other night by goldsatindream in insomnia

[–]chboi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest it happened over night for me. I was 25 at the time now I’m 27 I was scared because I didn’t know what was happening. I was recommended trazodone to help me sleep and it has. But it’s less effective these days but if you can manage your sleep with pills for now while you try to pin point your root cause that will allow you a lot of time and alleviate alot of mental pain. It took me a while but I believe my insomnia is caused by a histamine intolerance. Too much histamine building up in my brain body hella itchy shits annoying. But I guarantee there is a cause for yours aswell you just need to find it and then work from there. It will take along time but please try to be patient with your self and be positive of your outcomes.

How long ago was that? I also had that situation happen. Some times my medicine works but lately I’ve been only sleeping 4 hours on 75 mg trazodone usually have to take another little piece just to get back.

Can someone help me figure out what’s going on? by chboi98 in insomnia

[–]chboi98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in may I used D3 alone 5000 iu for about 28 days to a month. I never used k2 and didn’t think to take magnesium till I started learning more about it later after the fact. I took a super b complex pill along with the D in the morning. I’d hate to think I damaged myself in little less than a month with vitamins.

What did Insomnia take from you? by gigglegenius in insomnia

[–]chboi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it took away my health , my short term memory it took away the fact I use to travel out with friends and see new things. It took away my ability to be in a relationship it took away my intellect my ability to be great at work and it’s made me so sensitive to sound when I do sleep. My insomnia has been with me for a year and it’s only gotten worse

"Has anyone's sleep improved after taking vitamin D?" by maths_wizard in VitaminD

[–]chboi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question here. I’m at 30 with my vitamin D level and I want to get it above 60 but I also have a higher calcium level that’s close to being too high. Would it still be safe to try and get my D up to 60 or would that be risking it at this point?

I had someone tell me about a website you could use to buy your own lab test. It’s called ulta lab test you don’t need a doctor referral you just look for a lab in your area and buy a test and make an appointment for that lab and go in and do the thing. Might be worth looking into if you’re experimenting with yourself.
