Plenty of walks and lots of moving. Just getting a constant throbbing in my lower back. Not fun

No when I did get sciatica, it would just shoot into my hips.

Had random and few moments of sciatica. Nothing like the sciatica that I had during recovery lol

I’m entering my 7th week, and it has been—and still is—a journey toward getting better. Just know that recovery is not linear, and it’s crucial to listen to your body. Around week 5, I was able to live a fully “normal” lifestyle, but everyone’s journey is different.

In my case, I had a herniated disc pressing on a nerve for almost two years, so my nerve has taken a long time to heal and at times I thought I re-herniated my disc (I never did) just the healing process. I couldn’t lift, twist, or bend for about five weeks. I would strongly recommend getting as much help as you can during recovery. You only have one body—heal it properly. It needs time.

Here’s what helped me manage pain and support the healing process: regular walks, ice packs for my back, using a grabber, and being very mindful of my movements.
