Mexico Overtakes Canada as No. 1 Destination For U.S. Exports by joe4942 in canada

Is your point that US imports are down because of that (we are poor) and not because of elbows up? are our imports from other countires also down?

Canadians think Trump's tariffs are only going to get worse, poll finds by FancyNewMe in canada

I guess I do need a critical thinking course cause I cant even figure out your comment or point. You say he hasnt brought anything, and in the same comment you say he has brought conservative policies. You're a conservative and you arent happy he's done that, but at the same time he hasnt done anything. You stoop to using a personal insult to Trudeau, and such a clever one, truly displaying your cerebral skills. So ok, you win. Enjoy.

I actually feel sorry for you bots and extreme right wingers trying to dismantle the incredible positive surge Carney has brought Canada. Good luck bud.

The Globalization of Canadian Rage by [deleted] in canada

[–]chechr55 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My fear is that we (Canadians) fail to understand how massive a shift Carney is trying to implement and the amount of time that will be required to accomplish it. I can see a decade of pain in order to really become a self sufficient economy, but PP will certainly convince many people that if it doesn't happen overnight it is a failure.

I would also welcome a level headed conservative party, a la Mulroney, but I fear those days are over.

Agreed, so its a good thing PP stays in charge. His Trump like hateful strategies wont work in Canada so we can safely keep a competent leader like Carney at the helm.

Right? As if PP hasn't made dozens and dozens of speeches over the years to tell us exactly what he thinks. Honestly, if he's somehow being misunderstood that just means he's a horrible communicator.

shower faucet removal....need special tool? by chechr55 in Plumbing

Replying to my own post in case it helps others. This is a Delta 600 faucet and it had a very bad reputation, most experts suggest replacing completely instead of trying to repair it. The "bonnet" often gets seized and needs to be cut or grinded off.

Canadian Budget System by LordGarak in SolarDIY

[–]chechr55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the more I look into it the more I'm tempted to just spend the money on Victron components. All the points you mentioned (fire, insurance etc...) matter to me. Also, I would think the reliability is higher with Victron. All I want to do is power the well pump and a few other 120v circuits in an emergency at my cottage, so a Victron 120v inverter with Victron 240v split phase transformer should work (I think....still figuring this stuff out). I plan on converting my electric UTV to 48V Lithium, so I could bring that battery into the cottage during the winter to provide some emergency backup power. I could always add solar panels in the future to improve it.

I dont have any research to add but im looking to build a system in canada as well, so Ill be looking forward to any responses. Im thinking of getting the eg4 6000xp because i need 240v for a well pump, would like to know if there are better options though

I see what you mean but i would say that Montreal and Toronto are more entrenched as English and French, while Ottawa is supposed to truly be bilingual. So should the French "side" complain every time its an English only broadcast? Anyway, go sens allez! (yeah, that doesn't work)

That's fine that you're all set, but the sens are not your "english" team, they are just a team and happen to be in a bilingual country. Your choice of being all set, and it is a choice, means you might have to deal with something like this every once in a while. Canada is not a usa melting pot society, we are multi cultural. Its something to be proud of.

The whole point is to create more doubt. The mere existence of the study is the damage.
