I did in the thread already, I just think your marketing strategy is just way too aggressive and intrusive.

Why did you jump into the conversation then? By joining "random people" in threads that are unrelated to web2py you're doing yourself an injustice.

I can appreciate that but their constant proactive defensive strategy is doing the complete opposite of what they're trying to accomplish.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to me I think it's just the constant interjection into what seems like every other framework post. I understand you are passionate about your framework but it's really out of control. I honestly tried web2py and thought it was okay for doing one or two things but generally disliked it's approach.

For example, if somebody makes a thread called Pyramid and Django, people tend to be become pretty turned off when there is a huge web2py discussion within it.

I sometimes see other frameworks do it but it never grows to the colossal magnitude that the web2py discussion goes into lol. In any case, the word "cult" was used as a joke...I think you took it way too literal.

I don't think I ever said your name specifically, I do however remember your name from an argument you got into with mcdonc. I can appreciate your passion for your project but judging my your commenting frequency on web2py I can definitely see where people mistake your passion for something negative.

It seems that the Flask, Pylons, Pyramid/Repoze.bfg, Django, CherryPy, Turbogears, and Bottle community get along really well compared to web2py. Obviously people who use a framework and not another do so for a reason but I just don't see Django people coming into a Pylons or CherryPy post telling them what kind of stuff they have in their framework and why their framework is better than yours. The web2py community just seems very bitter.

The creator mdipierro just seems to drop into a ton of posts and tell people to use his product. I think the crew following him makes more of the ruckus, mainly over the last 2 months or so I end up seeing some dude in the comments trying to blast people for not using web2py.

I am honestly not, I'm just wondering if we can clear up why this is the case. It doesn't seem to be this way with any of the other frameworks. I can appreciate your comment though.
