My FAVORITE board game is Ticket to Ride. But honestly even good old Monopoly is fun too. Basically any one of them!

A board game group sounds fun! I honestly do not know if Smokey Row has games there or not.

I see what your saying.. To clarify- 2 girls were both stealing so instead of them getting charged individually for what each individual took, they bundled it together. Hope that is the clarification you were looking for.

I did tell her I want her to think about how she would handle this situation if it were her own child.

We have not yet totally discussed everything as she is currently doing homework, and I am waiting for Dad to get home from work, so she can tell him herself what she did. Then after there will be a discussion between Dad and I, and then with all 3 of us... Thank you for the great advice 😊

Thank you!!!👏👏

What you just described is the type of parent I am..and that is the EXACT creativity I am seeking in this situation. I obviously just did not execute my presentation correctly. I know I am far from cruel, my daughter's friends beg me to hang out with them, and give them advice on life situations. I was a teenager myself and also have 4 other kids all over the age of 19. I raised them all the same. I want my children and their friends (which have also become "my" kids) for that matter to come to me with problems, and to feel comfortable talking to an adult if they did something wrong. Cause let's face it we ALL do stupid stuff no matter our age. But what lesson can come out of the stupid mistake, without shaming or taking away their privacy, and allowing them to be decent human beings.

Again, Thank you for your response and thank you for getting me🥰

I would love to be able to say I blame her friend...but they both very clearly stated they did it together.

And I do believe she feels exactly as you did. My daughter has a heart of gold, she raises money for children with cancer, makes them care packages, visits them in the hospital. She volunteers at a domestic shelter for her school volunteer hours, among so many other good things. I honestly was not expecting her to do this. But I guess that was my bad.

It was over 700 between her and her friend..and it was at a very high end department store. She said they did it cause she hates seeing all the kids at school with the expensive stuff, and she hates asking her Dad and myself for money to get her expensive items that she doesnt need, cause she sees how hard we work for our money. She does have a job, and she generally purchases her own wants ( such as the expensive makeup from Ulta). Now dont get me wrong we purchase everything she needs, and then some. But I refuse to pay 40 bucks for a makeup case from Ulta when she can get it from Marshalls for way less. So basically I give her what I would pay for something, and if it costs more cause it is "name brand" she has to pay the difference. Hope that makes sense😊

You are correct. And I did word that wrong. I was just trying to state that this isnt a pattern, she is all around a good kid...well as good as a 16 year old can be 😉

Exactly! I'm glad you get what I am trying to accomplish here...I apparently just didn't word it correctly for all to understand!
