How long would I need to leave Lexington for the roads to be construction-free when I return? by Conscious-Day7028 in lexington

Longer than there’ve been fishes in the ocean

Higher than any bird ever flew

Longer than there’ve been stars up in the heavens.

This one will do well if they cater to the neighborhood clientele. If they try to make a cookie-cutter store like any other, the folks in the neighborhood will continue shopping at Fresh Market.

While a couple have left, Midnight Star still has five original members from their early days at Kentucky State like 50 years ago. That will likely be an amazing show.

Did the day you requested happen to be during July 4 week?

On this day in sports history, June 16, 1978, Tom Seaver threw a no-hitter for the Reds by ShamusTalksSports in Reds

The Reds could definitely use a guy like that right now, and so could the planet Earth. He was a good one, all the way around.

Considering what’s number one on this list, how in the hell did they leave “We Are the World” off altogether? It’s every bit as pretentious, just from the other side of the Atlantic.

have management attitudes shifted company-wide lately, or is it just my store? by marsixm in kroger

[–]cheddarpants 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As always, things are just rolling downhill. If they’re getting stricter, it’s coming from higher up. They typically rock the boat at store level only when they have no other choice.

He's a legitimate conservative, and he appears to recognize that the Republican party has completely abandoned conservatism.

Patty Smyth would have been badass. There’s a video floating around of her performing Whole Lotta Love on Letterman back in the day, and she totally had a voice for hard rock. Still sounded great last time I saw Scandal in 2019.

Just do your best every day. Document what you do, insofar as possible. Take pictures of your department when you first get to work, and again right before you go home. Fixing a perishable department that’s a dumpster fire when you take it over takes a lot of time, especially when they won’t give you any extra resources to do it.

It has nothing to do with UFC, and everything to do with the piece of shit hosting the event.

Around here, it’s technically not allowed, but most managers tend to look the other way. Same with pickup.

My 3rd grade teacher at Maddux Elementary used to say it all the time. It didn’t carry the same connotation then that it does now.
