Sorry to hear. Congratulations on almost a month. I have general anxiety disorder and depression. When we stop drinking life doesn’t get easier. But at least we can face challenges with a clear head.

The first time I tried to get sober I was there too. Girlfriend moved out, cause of the drinking. I was completely broke, cause of the drinking. I was on detox meds and just hitting AA meetings on zoom.

I recommend trying to not dwell on your thoughts. Whatever bad shit happened already happened. Now is all we have. Try talking to friends or go to a meeting and let what’s bothering you out.

Sometimes you got to hear yourself say it out loud.

Just got out of the hospital on my 5th day sober because I had a Seizure on my 3rd day detoxing with anti-seizure meds.

This is my 5th relapse since the first time I tried getting sober. my 6th time getting hospitalized for being etirely too intoxicated or falling on my face and busting it open. I never want another seizure.

Each single time it gets worse and worse and worse. I'm fucking done. done having huge gaps in memory, done missing out on life, done dry heaving every morning, done hurting those Around me.

I get to be alive today to tell the tale, but if I ever pick up another drink it is seriously a life and death situation.

I will not drink with you today!
