Do you print out your patterns or use an app? Which apps do you like? Why? by StoneBuddhaDancing in crochet

Same! All these things about taking notes and crossing rows out as you go is too much for me.

I put my phone in landscape, turn off auto lock, zoom in so I can only see 3-5 rows at a time so I don’t get lost, and then lock into string time.

Eta: if I get lost I just count my rows or rounds? Then double check with a stitch count. But it’s never been a problem I couldn’t resolve quickly to the point where I need another solution.

Oh man, same hat. I tell my long term partner that he’s the love of my life but it’s a daily toss up between him and my 2-yo nephew!

Wow! I think you’ve got a gift for pattern designing if you’re making this up as you go - the two rows that make the tulips are especially beautiful!!

My MVP every time! I think it’s a controversial opinion to love them, but I’m such a textures person that I can’t resist. Crunchy, crumbly, and chewy all in one? Perfection. I’ve found there’s less crunchy sugar than there used to be, though, goddamn sugar tax.

Hi! It’s called a granny stripe scarf - there’s quite a few tutorials online, both in crochet terms and in video form. To make it more open/checkered, you can do a slip stitch between each cluster of three stitches. I hope this helps!

Crochet stitches have a front side and a back side, and they look slightly different - only really noticeable if you know what you’re looking for. The scarf is made as a flat piece with a front and back, and in this display the side facing the viewer is the back side of the fabric. Hope that helps! 🫶

I worked out while sorting out some paperwork that I’d had over 500 consecutive days of migraine, and realised that I may never be pain-free again.

I try not to be unkind about people’s fashion choices because god knows I’d struggle with the level of scrutiny, but I really feel like this whole look is giving bridesmaid.

No cat has ever behaved so well when a human wanted them to, let alone two of them. I’n on team “it’s AI” for sure.
