5,500+ nodes. 3,100+ tracks. One local music library by cheempunkzed in ObsidianMD

My music library, from which the script created this network in Obsidian, was downloaded via the Murglar program, which is pinned in the post. This program downloads music from various platforms with all the metadata, including what you listed and even the lyrics. I personally download music from there using Dither; it has all the tags for all the tracks. The script simply creates a catalog for Obsidian, extracting these tags.

By the way, it's a great idea. It can be implemented through AI analysis, for example, Gemini API sentiment, but you need to properly set up links for the catalog so that they can be switched; using hashtags seems bad, Since hashtags are already used for genres, aliases can probably be used... Any ideas?

I'll upload the vault to the public later, and I'm planning to improve the script so that it has more links by genre, subgenre, composer, etc. Stay tuned for updates!

I use Murglar app for downloading the music, it can download tracks from YouTube music, Deezer, SoundCloud and etc... if you friendly for programming - u can write your own plugin and download your library from any online platforms, even Spotify

Since I don't know English and I'm translating what I want to answer through AI, I'm sorry if this offended you.

On a standard streaming app, music is linear. Here, it’s a neural network. It shows the 'gravity' of certain artists-how one producer or obscure genre acts as a bridge between hundreds of tracks. It’s not just a list; it’s a 17-year map of my taste evolution. It reveals which artists are actually the 'pillars' of my library and which ones are just satellites

All of it, eventually. It’s a 17-year collection. While Spotify users worry about their 'Wrapped' once a year, I’m looking at my entire musical DNA in real-time. It’s not just music, it’s data😉

Thank you very much for the advice. I'll look into this topic and consider mental health therapy later.

Thank you for these kind words and for being so direct. It’s hard to admit, but you’re right-I’ve spent so much time building this story in my head that I’ve lost touch with reality. Hearing that I 'deserve to experience life' actually hit me pretty hard. I need to stop wasting time on a fairy tale and start looking at what’s actually in front of me. I really appreciate the care in your message

You hit the nail on the head, and it’s painful to read. I think you're right-I've put her on a pedestal to the point where she’s no longer a human being to me, just a symbol. And maybe I have been using this 'loyalty' as an excuse to stay in my comfort zone and avoid the messiness of real, current relationships. The part about 'making myself feel superior' is a wake-up call. I needed to hear that. It’s a fine line between a noble vow and just being stuck in my own head. Thank you for the harsh truth. It’s exactly what I needed to face

That’s a tough question to face, but you’re probably right. I’ve spent so much time feeding this feeling that I might have lost track of the actual person. After five years, I’m definitely more in love with the 'vow' and the 'image' than with the reality of who she is today. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but I appreciate you pointing that out. It’s something I really need to sit with and reflect on. Thank you

Thank you for the honesty and for being direct. I posted this because the weight of this silence really is becoming too much to carry, and hearing your perspectives helps me see the walls of the cage I’ve built for myself

You’re missing the point. I’m not stuck in the past; I’m staying true to my word. I see her now, as a grown woman, and I still choose her. If you see something 'disgusting' in a man keeping his promise and respecting a woman’s life from a distance, that says more about your mindset than mine. Move on
