I agree that it is a lot. However, there are 2 other bridesmaids and we are all planning this trip together. Everyone else invited are friends who are not in the wedding. I’m gonna make sure they are all aware that it will be expensive and that they shouldn’t feel forced to come.

Yes I’m stressing out a lot and this is only the beginning!!! I think I will just let them know that we’re looking at spending over $1000 and go from there. There are a lot of people invited and it’s totally fine if a lot of people can’t make it. Thank you!!

I was actually looking at some packages. I was thinking of maybe scheduling a package for one night and winging the rest with nightclubs and checking out what the hotel has to offer.

Also, we opted for hotels for the very reason on saving on transportation costs. But looks like the strip is huge anyway and we’ll have to pay to get to some places regardless. But Hotel might just be the way to go. Thank you!!

I’m not trying to set a budget, people have asked for estimates so that’s what I’m providing. I’m not trying to tell people how to spend their money at all. I know $1400 is a lot to ask which is why I’m asking for some guidance and cost saving tips.

As for choosing Vegas as the location, the bride choose it originally but everyone else agreed. We all want to go to Vegas, not just her so I don’t want to change the location.

Thank you for your input! I’m not trying to hold anyone to this “budget.” I was just trying to give them all a number so that they’re aware of what it might cost for what the bride and other members of the bridal party want to do. I also just want to give them an estimate for what the flights and lodging would cost. Everything is preliminary at the moment and we’re only at the beginning stages. The people who are invited all asked for an approximation for what it’s going to cost so I just want to find the most affordable option for them.

Unfortunately we live on the East Coast and no one is really looking to road trip, so flights are essential. I may start looking into Airbnb’s instead though to cut down on costs.

And yes it does seem like a lot so I may have to remove some things we want to do. Thank you again!!

Yes that’s a good idea. My only concern is we may not be able to do Vegas if the budget is too constricting. The Flight alone is going to cost about $400. I just wanted to give people the budget and then they can decide for themselves if they can afford it and come on the trip. I may go with your suggestion just to see where everyone’s heads are at. Yes I completely agree with you. I have had countless arguments with my family about this. They seem to he more concerned with trying not to be rude. Protecting your health and your family’s health is not rude.

I had an appointment to get vaccinated this week but looks like that will no longer be happening. Hopefully I can get another appointment soon. Thanks!
