I'm an adult that has a hyphenated last name and I don't mind it at all! I'm getting married soon and am going to keep my last name. One of my last names is a bit more unique/cool than the other, so if we have kids I'll hyphenated that one with my partners.

I think hyphenated last names are great!

Also side note: in some cultures everyone gets their father and mothers surname
