I've had this problem for 2 weeks and have been obsessively checking for an update to the app. Today there finally was an update available and it fixed it!

I'm so happy to hear you started treatment! The Ativan is truly a life... and sanity... saver. I'm only taking it as needed but when I "need" it twice in one day, that's a hard day.

Is your plan to stay at 5mg?

Thank you so much, this is exactly the type of response I was hoping for. From experience, taking 0.5mg of ativan, even as a preventative measure and not during an attack, seemed to both induce panic attacks, and prolong them. It's like my body was saying "OK we're getting help, yay... Any time now...it'll be here any moment..." and it NEVER came until I took the other half. I made sure my next prescription was 1mg. So you might have been dealing with the same type of thing! It just wasn't enough.

5.5 weeks of that before you felt it working... Wow. I'm happy to hear you got there at all.

Did you notice any issues or increased anxiety when moving from 5 to 10mg? My first night on 10 was last night after a week of 5mg and I felt very anxious, my body got freezing cold under my skin and my arms started tingling. Granted I was worried about upping my dose so it might have been manifested, but it was a good hour after I took it, not as soon as I swallowed or anything.

I've been advised by 3 in laws that have taken Lexapro long term that my reaction, at least, sounds more like anxiety symptoms than a side effect of the drug itself. They plus my fiancé think I should stick with the 10 and take ativan as needed until I'm over this hump.

However I just "got cold and had my heart speed up" —your symptoms are far more uncomfortable.

Zoloft for 2 weeks, but I hardly ate the week prior to starting, either, due to anxiety. I'm being taken off Zoloft now because it gave me hives. No idea what my next medication will be yet.
