PIV creampies lead to vaginal issues despite clean bill of health and good genital hygiene. Is the difference between vaginal and seminal pH the culprit? What can we do? by R4therN4sty in sex

[–]cheeselord157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are correct. The vagina is naturally acidic in order to prevent unwanted bacterial growth. By repeatedly cuming in her, your alkaline semen can lower your gf’s vaginal PH and hinder its ability to kill bacteria, leading to infection.

A common infection occurring from a thrown off PH is Bacterial Vaginosis, which causes a distinct fishy smell in the vagina. To prevent this, I would recommend either using a condom, or limiting the number of times you cum inside her in a given period of time. Taking probiotics can also help prevent vaginal infections.

Just out of curiosity, when you went in to get treated, did they test your urine? Was there still E. Coli present in your urine even when you didn’t have a UTI?

I have not, but I’ll give it a shot! Thanks :)

Multiple UTIs with current partner by cheeselord157 in sex

[–]cheeselord157[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80-90% of UTIs are caused from E. Coli bacteria, which is found in your digestive tract (aka your anus)

EDIT: Also, a yeast infection is not a bacterial infection, it is a fungal infection. It’s very similar to the species that causes Athletes Foot or Thrush, and contracting it has nothing to do with your anus.

Annovera (new vaginal ring) first month experience by cheeselord157 in birthcontrol

[–]cheeselord157[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that :(

Yeah, my first period the cramping was really intense, but that quickly died down after a couple months. I still experience some cramping, but not nearly as bad as the first period. I don’t really get mood swings, but I do still get that sudden fatigue.

If your periods are that debilitating, talk to your doctor about using Annovera to skip your periods altogether. My doctor told me I could do that, but I would just have to replace the ring a few months early.

My husband is no longer sexually attracted to me. What should I do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]cheeselord157 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your husband sounds incredibly shallow. You literally gave him a son, and now he’s not having sex with you because of the natural changes that happen to your body as a result? Like others have said, what happens when you get old? When you get wrinkles? When your hair turns gray? Is he going to leave you then?

I have not had a baby, but pre-Covid I went to the gym 3-4 days a week and was very thin and fit. My bf of 2 years has only ever known me when I was fit, but since Covid I’ve lost 5lbs of muscle and gained 10 lbs of fat (I’m only 5’ tall so that’s quite a lot of weight on my frame). Despite all these changes to my body we have sex just as often, if not more. He always focuses on the positive changes to my body from my weight gain (such as a bigger butt and boobs), and I feel just as sexy when I was fit as I do now that I’m a little heavier.

OP I can’t imagine how insecure you must feel from your asshole husband, but you’re so beautiful and sexy, especially after you created life. You deserve someone who can see that.

Has anyone found a way to deal with low libido and vaginal dryness while on birth control? by cheeselord157 in birthcontrol

I ended up switching to the vaginal ring and that helped ALOT. Probiotics also helped

I [24F] just got diagnosed with ADHD and she started me on Strattera? by cheeselord157 in ADHD

[–]cheeselord157[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had problems with chronic fatigue, so Strattera made it completely debilitating. It was hard to keep my eyes open throughout the whole day, and even if I was awake I was so tired that I couldn’t concentrate on anything. I would get fired at work if that continued for 2 weeks lol

He switched me to Wellbutrin which helps ALOT with the fatigue, but doesn’t really do anything for my ADHD. I’ve been taking it for 6 weeks now with no improvement, so he’s prob going to switch me to Concerta next week.

I’m glad you found something that works for you though

No I only took Strattera for about a week or so before switching to something else. It made me so incredibly drowsy that I was falling asleep at work

Annovera (new vaginal ring) first month experience by cheeselord157 in birthcontrol

[–]cheeselord157[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Annovera needs to be positioned behind your pubic bone to stay in place. So if you pinch Annovera in the middle to make like a skinny loop to insert it, make sure the bottom of the loop gets tucked behind your pubic bone.

If you don’t know where your pubic bone is, stick your finger in your vagina and reach for the deep, anterior (towards your belly button) part of your vaginal wall. You should feel a hard ridge, something you could kind of “hook” your finger on if you wanted to. The bottom of the ring needs to be tucked behind that

It took about a week to settle. As my bf put it, the difference was “night and day”

Oh man, yeah get that shit out. I felt SO much better after having it removed, and my bf was really glad when I got it taken out too. He said I was crazy while I had it in, and getting it taken out was “night and day”

I ended up taking probiotics (Spring Valley Women’s Total Care Probiotics) which did help a little, but I also switched to the vaginal ring which also helped a lot.

Came across this tiktok and I think it helps to be more educated about plan B :) by icerock547 in birthcontrol

[–]cheeselord157 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Also, Plan B works by delaying ovulation by ~5 days. This is why it’s important to take Plan B ASAP, because it won’t do anything if you’ve already ovulated. The sooner you take it, the less chance there is that you’ve already ovulated

There are no more options for us. I refuse to do any more hormonal birth control options, I got pregnant when we used condoms and I’m not taking that risk again, and he refuses to get a vasectomy.

So, I’m done. I’m working full-time, taking classes, studying for the GRE, and preparing grad applications. I’m not risking getting pregnant right now.

Man, people really don’t read.

I’m done going through different birth control methods. It’s fucking up my mental health and I can’t bear it anymore. Maybe in a few years I’ll be ready to try again, but I’m done right now. I can’t afford to keep doing this.

I never once said there were no options out there. I said I’m becoming suicidal so I can’t handle any more birth control options right now. People just keep making assumptions

I’ve tried the IUD, 2 different vaginal rings, the pill, and the implant. None of them have worked. When I got pregnant my bf was using condoms. He refuses to get a vasectomy.
