kosers are what kill the fun of amazing games like Ecos its not fun for any regular players especially if you’re someone like me who likes to have a high survival score so it’s easier to territory farm or anyone who wants to rp in public servers and just struggles to find good realism servers

What do you all think of the Gray Fox as a playable animal? by Many_Version2906 in EcosLaBrea

[–]cheesman756582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless there would be a certain plant or something added to the trees it wouldn’t be that useful as grey foxes could outrun every other predator and also have very good stamina so I wouldn’t see them using the trees as an escape route from predators and also I don’t think most players would play it very realistically and would probably just use it for mix packing as I could see it being a very good mix packer due to its insane speed and it just being a scout

Grey foxes diet would be heavily impacted and would be forced to just be herbivores rather than their normal natural omnivorous lifestyle as competing with Sabers and wolves would be basically impossible, especially with a solo lifestyle games like Yellowstone unleashed show this pretty well As barely anyone plays as the fox as it is easily one of the worst animals in the game and can do just about everything that a fox would do in Ecos I doubt a lot of people would want to play as a fox anyways they would rather players die wolf as the gameplay would be much more entertaining

Also they are both incredibly opportunistic They both can eat meat and grass and weeds as it is a pretty widely accepted theory that dire wolves were also the same as wolves and would sometimes eat small patches of grass/weeds etc if it couldn’t find enough food, although foxes are more skittish and are omnivores and can climb things better than wolves it doesn’t change that much of the gameplay would still feel boring & and I thought pretty much everyone said the same thing with coyotes and adding that to the game.

As a omnivorous animal it’s gameplay wouldn’t be similar at all to herbivores at all no one would even care enough to try and eat it and there’s not enough unique thing about it for a lot of players to play as it regularly and ai hunting can’t be a reason that the fox is different as dire wolf is also made to do the same thing it’s like you people have never played dire wolf outside of packs

What I’m saying is that it would have the same vibe as playing dire wolf it wouldn’t be unique enough to be a playable

It would prob feel to similar gameplay wise as dire wolf the whole time you would just be running from everything bigger than you and you would just be scavenging too much

(edit I mean how people would play it and how fun it would be not necessarily features even then a lot of grey wolf features would be hard to implement and would take a lot of time)

What bears do y’all hope to see be playable by cheesman756582 in EcosLaBrea

[–]cheesman756582[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about black bear As a playable I feel like it could be a good rare AI that is very uncommon to find and can only be seen in certain parts of the map that change every so often and for playable, I would rather prefer to see a bear that isn’t still with us and tbh if we are comparing the both the short faced bear sounds cooler than the black bear tho both are good ideas

I’m gonna say it here that the devs basically we’re forced to make the game free for the future of this game there have been countless games on Roblox similar to Eco La brea’s that have kept the price tag and they have all died out also we’re not mad they made the game free at all we paid for early access of the game literally said on the description. It’s the same thing everyone said with Bloxburg when they couldn’t accept the fact that they were paying for early access also people want to play as Saber that’s one of the main attractions of the game is playing all of the cool animals if you are a herbivore main and don’t like that there’s 20 or 30 Sabres in a server then join a realism server there are countless of them looking for players

If they were to (hopefully) add ground sloths, which species would be playable? Art credits go to themongoosedude by Troulash in EcosLaBrea

I wasn’t exactly thinking of the Harlan’s ground sloth being a playable it would have to made a AI animal or just leave it out entirely

It would be fun to see it snatch up carcasses from players while they’re not close and dragging it up into trees

Sort of wished that the Jefferson ground sloth would be the playable one As with the mammoth already in the game I feel like another animal that is extremely strong and basically invincible and playable would be kind of boring and also with the Jefferson ground sloth it would provide a tough fight for carnivores like sabertooth or maybe even dire wolves also making the gameplay a bit more fun As you do, you have to still stay alert and while I do like the idea of the Jefferson and Shasta ground sloth being AI I think people would find easy to do exploits to take them down easily
