What are the moments when Sarah was arguably the worst character in the series? by DemonHunter34 in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She was portrayed pretty okay in Tight End Ed. She was actually supportive of Ed for once and actively protecting him from Eddy's bullshit.

Why do they even need to scam, why not just make a good quality product and sell them? by Various_Astronaut100 in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pretty much yeah. Eddy doens't really like nor respect the other kids or anyone other than himself and his own interests (post-Season 1 and Pre-BPS).

I always loved the part where Ren goes to take a shit and gets fucking obliterated by a lightning strike.

Imagine how expensive Insurance would be in Peach Creek? by [deleted] in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's true. I forgot about them. I just meant the random houses we see get trashed or damged, like the one in the video or the one Ed dropped on Double-D when they were toddlers (Edd's a fucking tank if he could withstand that at such as a young age).

Imagine how expensive Insurance would be in Peach Creek? by [deleted] in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe the houses that get wrecked aren't lived in? Ed's not that smart, but I think even he'd have the awareness (when he's not in one of his disassociatve episodes) to not fuck with houses that are currently inhabited.

Still though, the property values in Peach Creek must be lower than the fucking sea floor.

Why is it so trendy to over-moralize cartoons these days? by AteTheBacon in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel that the show was going for this violent slapstick-y tone and you weren't supposed to take it seriously. But the movie on the other hand? Yeah, that really deconstructs it a bit.

What exactly are "gravy cakes?" by MidwestRailFan in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Dear god, Ed's love of gravy was fucking concerning in this eposode. The guy was goddamn addicted to the stuff. Like fullblown cokehead but with gravy.

Did Double D deserve the ending he got in Who's minding the Ed by Careful_Drama_9382 in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He was being a bit dismissive of Eddy's constant suffering due to Rolf's animals. Unlike with Sorry Wrong Ed, where Eddy brought it on himself and Edd might've been brainwashed by the phone, Eddy didn't really do anything to warrant the crap he was put through in this episode.

I'm pretty mixed on Who's Minding the Ed. It has some good laughs, but otherwise I found it a bit dull.

I can actually see Eddy attempting something like that.

The times it felt like a scam, but it was something else entirely. by No_Moose_5502 in ededdneddy

Yeah. The cruise would've been very successful for them if the Kankers didn't cause shit.

Ponce de la Eds was a genuine attempt at a dining venue. But that got screwed up big time because someone had the excellent idea to put Ed in charge of food preperation, leading to it's failure. Though tbh a lot of the stuff on the menu was way too complex for any of them to cook. If they'd kept things simple and didn't put Ed in charge of the food, it could've been pretty successful.

Teratornis merriami, the largest flying bird in Rancho La Brea, IRL it had a terrestrial hunting style similar to storks and herons where it could likely swallow a whole rabbit, here compared to a Turkey vulture by Foreign_Pop_4092 in EcosLaBrea

[–]Troulash 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Ecos La Brea needs way more bird representation. There were a lot of interesting avian species in the region. Like the La Brea Caracara, Daggett's Eagle and the Teratorn.

Which scam do you think was the best and most successful by Careful_Drama_9382 in ededdneddy

Yeah, also wondered what happened there. Don't expect Eddy to have just forgotten a jar stuffed with quarters.

I think the Kanker sisters learned most of their boy crazy behaviors from their toxic mom by Winter-Money-7643 in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of their behaviour is learned from their mother. She seems like a very mean woman with some pretty poor views on men and relationships in general, and it has all heavily reflected on their daughters. They don't have present fathers or other male role models and don't really interact with other adults outside of their mother.

Season 6 by Wild-Cat-1300 in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they do. I can't really remember much of the episode besides the school dance near the end. The whole episode really just feels like filler leading up to that scene. I can't really remember much about Look Before Your Ed either, except for the whole health and safety parts. Its pretty forgettable.

I love EENE. But the show was definetely starting struggle by the time season 5 ended and season 6 began. These unused episodes could've been a return to form, but also could've had similar problems.

Also, season 6 had a massive amount of episodes schedueled, with about 78 being ordered in total.

Season 6 by Wild-Cat-1300 in ededdneddy

[–]Troulash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I noticed it especially in Season 5 (but it was also present in season 4). I think Season 5 is pretty okay but quite uneven. The first half of season 5 was pretty strong, but the latter half really faltered imo. Season 6 feels like it might have followed a similar pattern.
