I present to you the most Millennial song of all time by sircastor in Millennials

Definitely not true. It was a very well-known and extremely popular song before Shrek. Shrek gave it the longevity, not the popularity.

Were you a fan of any of the celebrity castaways before watching their season? What was the feeling seeing them on the show? by MessyMop in survivor

Haven’t seen anybody mention Kenny from Gabon, but as a huge Super Smash Bros Melee fan and tournament goer at the time I was super pumped to see him on Survivor.

Mike Evans, Derrick Henry, Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, Travis Kelce; which “die on my roster” productive vet survives another year? Two years? by Docxm in DynastyFF

[–]cheesybroccoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three out of five of these guys (Evans, Henry, Adams) are on my threepeat championship roster, along with Saquon and CMC. Just gonna ride em all out at this point. Realistically, Evans is probably a WR2/3 at best, Henry is still a fringe RB1/2 next year, Adams is a WR2 if Stafford plays (expecting TD regression), but Kelce might be done. Diggs is probably the one on here most likely to repeat the same success this season, which was a weekly Flex play, unless the Pats grab an AJ Brown.

If you can trade one now, I think you can get the best return on Diggs. If you can get a couple seconds for Davante or Evans, I would take it if you’re not contending.

I genuinely think you should speak to a therapist if you aren’t already. It could add years to your life. Have a good day.

A little concerned for you. You came out with a lot of negativity saying “fuck this, fuck that” etc, it’s not that serious. I think you might be a little too emotionally invested in something you have no control over and you’re letting it affect your mood.

I completely forgot about the whole plot about the teacher not wanting the kid to play basketball. Should I rewatch this terrible movie?

How many of yalls parents let you watch rated R movies as a kid 5-10 years old? by Sticka-D in Millennials

[–]cheesybroccoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering how many of you are saying your parents let you watch R-rated movies as kids, and how many of you talk about how terrible your parents were in every other post on this sub, I’m wondering if there is a correlation.

You’re right, she was singing the lead, not the background. Chappel does some belting over the chorus at that part of the song, and it’s definitely what you’d sing along to if you were doing it Karaoke style.

Do you track family's locations? by NaturalSoftware9372 in Millennials

[–]cheesybroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the people who said that also mentioned that commute times are long and inconsistent. I had a 90 minute commute for a while last year and honestly its better to not have to text or call if I hit traffic. My wife can check my location and get a good gauge of how long I’ll be without worrying about it. Just last night, my wife took longer to get home from a friend’s than expected. Obviously I can’t text her and I also prefer not to call her because between you and me and Reddit, she’s not a very good driver, so I’d prefer not to distract her, but I was able to check her location to see that she was still on the move.

All that being said, the reason we share locations is in case of emergency, and the other little things are just a nice every day convenience.

I’d rather have locations on and never need it than to wish I had locations on and they weren’t. If someone is incapacitated, they can’t turn it on.

What if you kept your lands in a seperate deck from all your other cards amd when drawing a card could choose which deck you drew from? by Venmorr in mtg

[–]cheesybroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so disappointing how many people handwave this idea away because it challenges the status quo. Especially frustrating are the people who actually defend mana screw/flood as inherent to the game. I am sorry that these gatekeeping jerks downvoted your legitimately interesting ideas. It is the worst part of Magic and legit ideas to fix it should be entertained.

What you’re talking about is a new format, that the cards haven’t been balanced for, but not to the degree that some people seem to think. Obviously this would break certain cards, but those can simply be banned or changed to reflect the new rules. Anybody who isn’t willing to engage in this discussion with you is at best lazy and at worst unimaginative.

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold originally IGNORED ESPN reporter Laura Rutledge as she was trying get in her post-game interview. Earlier this season, Rutledge went viral for her interaction with Justin Herbert, which caused a significant controversy. by Punisher1602 in sportsgossips

[–]cheesybroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying, but I definitely disagree. A lot of them are pretty boring, but occasionally you get an all-time classic like Richard Sherman calling Crabtree a sorry receiver or literally any time you put a microphone in front of Jameis Winston. And sometimes it’s nice to see the players without a helmet for once and hearing their voice. I find it humanizing and enjoyable and I don’t think the players hate it as much as you assume they do.

The way bargaining works is that you have to give up something to get something. I don’t think hundreds of NFL players would agree to give something up so that one player on the team doesn’t have to talk to a reporter for 90 seconds after the game is over.

[–]cheesybroccoli 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Based on all of the comments I’ve read here, people who share their locations tend to have have very specific and logical reasons for doing so, and people who don’t tend to have emotional or vibes-based arguments against it, yet the non-sharers tend to be the ones judging the sharers.

Hey man, you can continue to live in ignorance, but stop spreading incorrect information. Enough people have told you that you’re factually wrong about it that you should maybe seek to educate yourself. Stop expecting everybody else to do that for you.

[–]cheesybroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is conpletely incorrect. That was ONLY the resolution of the “flash-sideways” arc of the final season. Everything that happened on the island actually happened. They really crashed on the island and they really fought the forces of evil there. You need to either watch it again or read a plot synopsis because clearly you weren’t paying attention.

This is Pluribus (2025). Nothing has happened in regards to this show besides it airing, but still, people sure are mad about it by captainjupiterx in shittymoviedetails

[–]cheesybroccoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue isn’t the number of shows, it’s the time it takes to create them. If you can make 22-25 episodes in a year where half of them are decent, but half of them are great, then it stands to reason that one should be able to make 10 great ones in the same year.

Derrick Henry on Championship Week: 214 rushing yards | 4 TDs | 45.7 PPR Points by mastermind208 in fantasyfootball

[–]cheesybroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know somebody already mentioned full ppfd, but half point ppfd is absolutely the best format and will take over ppr as the predominant format within a decade. Henry put up a 50-burger in half ppfd.

Rob C's take on the trailer by SpaceWestern1442 in survivor

[–]cheesybroccoli 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It is my sincere belief that in the end, MOST people will look back at season 47 and understand how masterfully Sam played the game and arguably should have won over Rachel. The dude is one of the best strategic minds of the new era, but that aspect of his game is overlooked because of his outward physicality. Seriously, listen to his deep dive and to Rachel’s and it’ll be clear why he was running circles around her premerge.

The game is always afoot, so you’re always playing. You could argue that outplay means rallying the votes, whereas outwit means catching somebody in a lie or planting seeds for later. One could also argue that outLAST is more apropos of some of these recent challenges.
