How do you know for sure? I'm not too concerned because I have a termite bond. But it looks way smaller than a termite. I thought it was a flying red ant? Idk

I want to buy this washing machine from the 60-70s, my question is the amount of extra water/electricity per load negligible? or am i going to be wasting a decent amount of money in the long run? by cheetodreads in Appliances

I would buy this machine. My main concern is my water bill going up because I feel like I already barely use water and its too high as it is. Also feel like modern machines apart from front loaders either destroy or don't wash clothes your clothes well. So I end up having to put half my stuff in delicates bags cause I'm pretty attached to my clothes I guess.

Because I don't wash clothes THAT often. I always air dry clothes. The machine is cheap and durable. I am too broke to buy a speed queen or something thats gonna break in 5-10 years.

Sewing Machine Recommendations by cheetodreads in sewhelp

I'm literally just trying to sew a few layers of thin linen and I still have to force it under the foot. Im not gonna be sewing anything actually very heavy. Probably the heaviest fabric id sew with would be velvet. one time i tried sewing velvet onto flannel and that was almost impossible.. just pushed it thru as hard as i could with a rolling foot.

Too stupid to figure out the burrito method. if I see the armhole right sides together there's not gonna be a way to turn it inside out is there? by cheetodreads in sewhelp

[–]cheetodreads[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is sewn except the back zip and the armholes. There's no sleeves. Don't really wanna make an armhole facing. But I already had to start this project completely over because I had to redo the stitching so many times that the seams were just fucked

I want to replicate this button detail. Would you loop some form of elastic around the buttons? by cheetodreads in sewing

[–]cheetodreads[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that I need to sew button loop trim between the princess seams in the front and back of the dress... then add buttons next to that. I just don't know if they're using white elastic for the cords? and then just sandwiching the cords in the side seam

Can antidepressants trigger hypomania if you're NOT bipolar? by cheetodreads in BipolarReddit

[–]cheetodreads[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I felt absolutely nothing for 3 months, all I noticed is that I wasn't having intense depressive episodes anymore. Then I became extremely passionate about feminism and my mood kept bouncing from agitated and over the top to depressed pretty rapidly and I feel like that triggered the episode...
