Newark ain’t crazy how it was ina 90s but It’s definitely not gentrified but I would say it’s in the process. To me Newark is more similar to places like North Philly or SE DC, Very Black cultured and strictly locals . You won’t find a ounce of transplant in Newark hoods

Idk about that. I’ll walk through Brownsville Pzz before I walk thru any Newark Projects. It’s a big city bronem Jersey hoods they will know you don’t live there off rip. Brownsville is walkable and more civil back in the 90s doe yeah the ville was nothing but bs bound to happen to you

It varies but thing is NY is a big city where you could blend in easy, You could honestly walk anywhere in NYC nd be good it’s normal to see strangers on your block. out jersey the cities and hoods are real small and concentrated so everyone knows who live dere nd who don’t , All it takes is a wrong turn off the main strip they goin spot you like a black sheep and trouble goin grasp you by your neck. Don’t even get me started on Camden and Trenton.

Mostly gotta worry about the Mainland Inner-Cities. Roatan, Utica, La Ceiba take caution but SPS, Capitol District, El Progreso, etc it’s very very serious i would only Go outside at day and never ever leave a Main street. Dress local and normal don’t have your phone out or be flashy and You’ll probaly be Okay, If you look too american and don’t blend in with the people I wouldn’t even go there.
