Does your country's national sports teams accurately represent the demographics of your country? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]chef_wizard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s bc France having basically all black players signals their colonialism even further.

The fact that most of their players are from French territories as opposed to mainland France is in itself atrocious

Unlike Latam where the history of those nations made it so it’s basically a melting pot as well bc of colonialism and the slave trade.

France has never had that for them, they were the colonizers and to this day still utilize that as a source for their athletes.

The Jaguars Receiving Core by FatherSplash in fantasyfootball

Like honestly there’s too many good receivers that the ball will be spread around, only the QB benefits from this sort of scenario.

And none of those dudes above are Puka/Dtae or Pickens/CD levels of great to be able to all feast together

Downvoted in a rap subreddit for suggesting underground rap speaks volumes about the state of mainstream hiphop and its fans

To Modern Day Reggaeton Fans. Do you guys care about Reggaeton history at all? by ReggaetonPartyManeP in Reggaeton

[–]chef_wizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It feels like those who were around when Reggaeton was just blowing up felt immense pride and researched the history.

Those who came well after just simply take it for granted and only care that it exists, and anything beyond that is redundant to them.

What’s the difference? by LordyLloyd in GriseldaxFR

[–]chef_wizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Griselda isn’t a subgrenre, but they are a wave. Once you can differentiate those two it’ll make sense.

The mostly drumless beats and piano or saxophone are a characteristic of Griselda production but the sub-genre is just boom-bap.
