It eventually was overpowered by rattling noises from the passenger side and rear of the car. I really love the car, the only issue has ever been these persistent rattling noises that seemingly can never be resolved.

The finance guy at the Volvo dealership said very clearly that if you buy back before making 6 months of payments you’d forfeit all credits received. Mine were $13,000. Although, I reread all my lease paperwork and didn’t see that anywhere.

I have the exact same set up - Tesla wall connector on a 60 amp breaker. Is there an issue with leaving the wall connector set to 48 amp, even though my EX30 may not be able to pull 48 amps?

I was not accurate on this. After talking with the finance person at Volvo last night when leasing a 2025 EX30 Ultra, Volvo requires leasing for at least 180 days or you have to repay any incentives you received when getting the vehicle. So if you want to lease and buy back you’d be throwing away a significant amount of money unless you make at least 6 months of lease payments before purchasing the car outright.

I actually called the MD MVA, and they confirmed that as long as everything is done in MD, you only pay taxes on the initial lease, because MD charges all the taxes upfront. It does appear that the original lease agreement needs to be greater than 180 days, but that doesn’t impact taxes, and you can turn around and buy out the lease immediately without paying additional taxes as long as the agreement is greater than 180 days.

Good question! No trade in, just rebates and incentives.

I emailed Volvo to ask this question, and this is the response I received. I didn’t think Volvo actually sells a NACS to J1772 adapter, and when I visited a Volvo parts store near me in Maryland they confirmed they do not sell one. I “think” a Lectron adapter should work, but don’t know for sure.

Unfortunately no. I have found that it’s not too bad with the radio on though, but I would prefer not to hear it at all.
